One of the Best Places To Visits in Valea Târnei Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Very kind service staff the food amazing only negative that was very warm inside and they didnt start tha air cond. The rest jus super top Great ambiance, tasty foods and attentive staff! Kids can play whilst waiting for the food. It is pet friendly, it has a big parking space and you can also buy souvenirs from this place. Shocked.. terrible, terrible, terrible food... Some of the staff are very kind, however some are rude... We are still hungry after ordering more than 1 course per person here... We took a 1h 20min detour just to get here. We ordered the well-known traditional Slovak plate. It looks very different from other reviewers. The dumplings were tasteless, jelly-like and the potato pies were raw (literally raw, starch was dripping out of them, not oil). Some of the ladies acknowledged this and told us that this is due to the potatoes.. and the owner knows this since a few days ago.. But then why do they still serve this dish / potatoes?!?!... Another lady said they already served this plate at noon and it was good... Shocked, contradicting words... Other potatoes?... The very few 6 thin slices of sausage that came with the potato pie were good, kids were happy. The chicken wings were unfortunately very stinky (like literally stinky... THESE SHOULD BE KEPT IN THE FRIDGE AND NOT SERVED IF FOUND TO BE SMELLY!!!). The potato pie was soaked in oil, jelly-like, burned on the outside but raw in the middle (from where starch started to come out), as the slovak plate was. The grilled pork neck was very dry and the boiled potatoes fried with butter in the pan were tasteless (where butter? Where pan frying? Maybe someone forgot "how to kitchen".. that's what the menu showed, did we received other than ordered?) Yes, we paid for this food, but didn't eat it. The last 2 portions (yet another potato pie and chicken breast in potato pie) were edible and did not show in the check. We also left money for these, as priced in the menu. Did they use different potatoes, as the first lady said? We gladly have Slovak food and we like it. This restaurant is unfortunately a joke 😔. I see it has 4k+ reviews and it has 4.5 stars, but we'll never cross their doorstep ever again. The bottled beer was however good, and so was the Schnitzel. PS: the toilet was out of soap and when we reported this to one if the ladies wearing their clothing (doing some stuff around the toilet entrance), we were told that IT'S NOT HER JOB AND WE SHOULD TELL THIS TO SOMEONE ELSE 😱🙄😳... Okaayyy.. Mild shock. Again... Additionally, we have asked for plain drinking water (not soda water) and we were charged 12 lei for a 750ml of unsealed bottle.. I would understand if they would have brought us a sealed water bottle, but charge for tap water that your fill behind the bar????..... Unimaginable.. 😑 This is an amazing place, the style is completely amazing and old style, the food is amazing and there are some rare types of meat. I recommend this place for the view that this place has, and the mood is amazing, taking a break from the modern-city style. Great place for families, you can spend a whole day here and still want more Good quality and quantity food. Sufficient items on the menu. Child friendly. There is a big field with slides, swings and other items to play with for kids up to 10 years old. Clean establishment. Clean toilets. Little gift shop. Beer tap bar outside. Also a lake nearby, an authentic watermill where fresh bread is baked and sold. Natural spring present too, with drinkable fresh water. Huta Slavia is a gem of Slovakian hospitality in the heart if Transilvania. Beyond the restaurant with a great variety of Romanian and Slovakian dishes, the place offers the guests the chance to have a stroll in a large natural area with several artizanal workshops featuring traditional crafting. We have been there for a lunch on our way to Cluj. The staff was very gentle and for a table for two for an hour or so, despite the whole restaurant was booked until evening. The wow thing was that we could pay the check without waiter’s involvement via scanning a QR code found in the table and paying straight via ApplePay. Efficiency! Food was great, atmosphere calm and relaxing right like the warm and sunny autumn day outside. Warm place on a spectacular geographic point. The road to get there is the experience itself. From my side food is good and soups are the best. If I travel to the area again, I'll definitely go there.
