Auchentoshan Distillery

Glasgow, United Kingdom Distillery

One of the Best Places To Visits in Old Kilpatrick Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. This is a in the city of Glasgow or in fact at the outskirts of it. There is a nice gift shop with a good choice of whiskeys, bar and room. The tours and tastings are recommended and very informative. Auchentoshan is the only in Scotland that has a triple distilling process. They are claiming that is very smooth because of that. The Auchentoshan 12yo taste is smooth with sweet vanilla notes and it gets more complicated with age. I was super excited to go to this as it was the first time visiting a Lowland Scotch style. Anya was the person who did the for me and because I was the only one who signed up for that time frame I received a nice private tour. The place is super nice and I really enjoyed the drive up as well as seeing the inside of the building. The took place in the old malting location. I learned a lot about the history of the the and it was really cool. Anya was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I throw in the patient bit as I have been suffering some sinus issues so I had to keep stopping between tastings so I could clear em out and actually try to get any flavors from each taste. I really enjoyed what I could taste and what I learned. It was really fun. The hot toddy at the end was a nice treat as well. This place was awesome and highly recommend if you can come to check it out! Absolutely fantastic tour. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. A from start to finish. The shop and room are brilliant. It's just a short drive out of Glasgow and I highly recommend you pay it a visit if you're I the area. It was a experience. I've asked difficult or potentially uneasy questions and got so much interesting information about the distilling and unique aspects of Auchentoshan operation. Our Mahj was knowledgable, friendly and honest about how is made which made the expierience enjoyable, yet educating and the same time. During the walk we've had an occasion to try some amazing spirits which I would never have looked for in the first place. Sauvignon blanc and port cask were the especially memorable. All in all I can recommend a visit to Auchentoshan to any afficionado or a curious tourist. What a story for this long established distillery, turned up to have a look around and they were able to fit me in on a tour. It was to see the and understand how they mix this liquid gold. Interesting to discover they triple distill and are almost unique in the Scottish industry for this. If you are in or around Glasgow then this is certainly worth a visit. I really enjoyed my brewery at Auchentoshan! It was fascinating to learn about the unique triple-distillation and how it contributes to their signature smooth whisky. Our was amazing – knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole even better. While the brewery is smaller than some breweries I've visited, it's packed with character. And of course, the most important part – the – was fantastic. I'm a big fan of Auchentoshan! If you're a enthusiast, this is a must. Very fun experience. was very about his product and taught us a lot for useful stuff. The whiskey cocktail at the end was the best. Warm cloudy apple and American Oak. We visited Auchentoshan today and enjoyed The Origin in the company of a fantastic guide, Brian. Despite the being in an extended silent season due to maintenance requirements, Brian made it a really enjoyable and funny with his anecdotes and humour. The hot toddy at the start of the was a lovely surprise on what was a chilly afternoon, and there were two drams to sample at the end. What a distillery, and whiskies too! Received a warm welcoming at reception. A young man well versed in his craft led the ultimate on 11.09.25 at 14:00. Worth a visit. I truly appreciated the kind and warm welcome from the team who showed us around the facilities. Your product is outstanding. The visitor center was engaging and thoughtfully prepared, with plenty of interesting details. All the installations were spotless and clearly arranged with visitors in mind. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Many thanks to the entire visitor team! Truly an amazing and tasting. Loved all the history and information. I went in NOT being a scotch drinker and left with a true appreciation for "good" scotch. Such a experience! Absolutely amazing experience, the was sweet, funny and knowledgeable! After the you can also taste a bunch more bottles for lovely prices :) A very professional winery and a environment, but unfortunately the quality of the souvenir needs to be strengthened. We bought a cup and were not treated well. The quality was not ideal. As a winery that needs to be operated for a long time, you must be persistent in the quality. Please check it repeatedly if you buy any items. My first ever tour. The very young guide, forgot his name (Bill, Ben or Bob 😂) was very helpful in making us understand the single malt origins and the making of this fine drink. I liked a lot also the lady at the reception who was very kind. Friendly with staff welcoming us starting from entering the area, the visitor centre. Our Brian is knowledgable and funny, we could have a good laugh but still learnt the details in production particularly the triple distilled process. Tasted exceptional whiskies in their warehouse and had a better understanding on how cask types affects the taste and smell of whiskies. As we have been to many distilleries tours before, this is one of the best that we had. Auchentoshan has always been one of my favorite scotches, so it was a no-brainer for me to visit during my stay in Glasgow. It was fairly easy to get to using public transport (a train from downtown to Dalmuir, followed by a 15-20 minute walk). I had a wonderful with a full experience, and picked up a couple of cask bottles afterwards. It was a nice touch to be able to fill, seal, and label my own bottles! I look forward to opening the bottles on a special occasion. Will definitely return on my next Scotland trip! Excellent from the lovely Helen. Just the right balance of educational and entertaining. Beautiful Stills and barrel store. We were also treated to a surprise souvenir. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. My father and I had a time at Auchentoshan! Helen gave us such an amazing all around the facility and was super about the and the Whiskey business in general. She was very receptive to questions and explained in detail the whiskey making process. Would definitely recommend to family and friends I had such a time and Helen was an awesome guide! We bought three whiskeys and overall it was the best I visited in Glasgow.
