Took my 6 year old grandson for swimming. He had a time and seemed to advance. little softplay. I have a one year old and a seven year old, they both had a run about not too big for the little one. You can get a cake / lunch / coffee from the little cafe. I have always found the at the leisure centre to be friendly and helpful. 3 pools, 2 smaller ones for young kids which are really warm and clean, the larger is too but a bit grubby if you happen to look down when swimming. The large adult is pretty deep and usually not too cold but with lots of clubs on it's usually only half the main you have access too. The showers are terrible on one side with almost zero pressure while the other side is ok. The are and over all it's a centre especially for families with babies/young kids due to the smaller pools being really warm, they also have a flume that opens on a Saturday that the kids love. It has multiple viewings areas and a nice cafe, lots of parking too with electric charging. I went to check out the facilities for wheelchair user to go swimming. Well East Dumbartonshire you should be ashamed! In general the whole centre needs brought into the 21st century in regards to access. Car Park very uneven, as is the poor quality of ramp. All very dull in reception are, sure this would be a hindrance to someone with poor sight. There is no specific accessible changing room, no hoist to transfer and at the poolside just a very old looking pole with seat, how does anyone with mobility issues transfer onto it?? Can I just say the gentleman on reception was helpful but only new and felt that perhaps training on access info needs looked at. This is very poor for ED council, needs a shake up This has become a staple for us with our toddler for the pool, as the value for money is so good. There are three separate pools with different features and temperatures, to suit all sizes of tots, with one being really nice and warm for the smallest ones, yet sizeable enough for numerous families to have space. The complimentary sauna and steam room provides a brief but welcome sanctuary from the ball-and-chain and little chimp, reinvigorating me for further active fun with the little one. The lack of a time limit for using the facility sets it aside from other Glasgow Life venues. The are friendly and changing rooms of reasonable quality. Nice place for kids and adults altogether. They have different types of pool. A slide that we enjoyed a lot with very little crowd. Steam bath makes for a perfect end to our day vacation. I come here with my family every Sunday and we absolutely love it! Changing rooms are all clean and they smell great! People are so nice there and I have never in countered a rude member. The is as as I remember it. Busy and quiet times, but that is to be expected at any sports facility. It would be to see the coloured squares back on the wall again, even if they no longer serve a purpose. My girls were given a time slot for soft play, but there was a misunderstanding — they accidentally went to the playground instead. I was never clearly told by the receptionist that we needed to wait on the ground level, and there was no proper communication about the process. By the time I returned to confirm and pay for our slot (after already being handed the access card), I was told the space had been given to another family. Even though we had a confirmed slot, they refused to let us in and told us we’d have to wait another two hours. The lack of clarity and poor handling of the situation made it feel like we were being blamed for their communication failure. Extremely disappointing service — it felt unfair and unprofessional. The receptionist clearly enjoys using her position to make families feel small. My wife and kids had a confirmed timeslot for the playground, and there was space available as another family had already left — yet she deliberately refused to let them in, made them wait nearly an hour, then gave the slot to someone else. No apology, no explanation — just smug, arrogant behaviour. It felt completely personal, as if she was using her authority to exclude them for her own satisfaction. My children were left confused and upset. This was a cruel and unnecessary abuse of power. Absolutely disgraceful. We will never come back. The experience was absolutely awful from start to finish. The service was shockingly bad—rude who seemed uninterested in helping, long wait times with no explanation, and a complete lack of professionalism. The place itself was filthy, with a disgusting smell lingering in the air and dirty tables that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Nothing was done right, and it felt like nobody cared at all. It was not just disappointing, it was genuinely revolting, and I would never recommend it to anyone.
