Really interesting place, kool A small but interesting museum of history, with a focus on the Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc's accomplishments. Which is understandable, seeing as it is located in the town where the first German in space, DDR citizen Sigmund Jähn, was born. It is a bit out of the way, and you have to drive for a while through dense woodlands, but still well worth the visit! Interesting place detailing the history of flight, with an emphasis on Germany's first cosmonaut. Most of the exhibits are behind glass, very little that is interactive. Worth noting that everything is in German. Museum was smaller than I expected but very well put together. The exhibits are nice and informative and the collection of artifacts is impressive. Well worth the visit but it is in an out of the way village that is the hometown of the first German in space. They even have a moon sample from the Soviet Luna 16 sample return mission in the 70s. Very informative set up. Not much interaction possible, just reading so dont recommend for younger kids. For adults and older kids was good though. Very interesting, but all in German. Even the movie. The shop could use some cool themed clothing also for sale. It was really interesting and insightful to learn about the and rockets. There are lots of information. Nice museum, and Astronomy is my hobby and I was very interested in this museum, because Europe has got also history of races, not only Sssr or USA. I think, that who is in this interested, for them is this museum perfect. 🌌👍 Greetings, Jaroslav Brož, CZ.
