This shipwreck is a great photography subject and the location helps a lot in making some wonderful still life and minimalistic photos. Feel free to visit to see it and/or photograph it, just be cautious cause the rocks there are pretty slippery and don't even think about swimming, the water there is really bad. The route on the old Athens-Corinth highway is beautiful. In addition to avoiding tolls, you can also see the sights. Like the half-submerged "Mediterranean Sky" immediately after Eleusis. A luxury ship for its time that made the route Greece-Italy. A broken ship, the car park I parked in, was full of waste and rubbish. Makes a nice photo if your passing! However, its quite pity the fact that around of the of this beautiful sight there is so much litter. Everyone should leave their respect and admiration in this unique landscape and nothing else. As another contributor posted, the access is now closed. There seems to be a major construction project on-going. We drove past and found a place to park 60m down the road. (There were about 8 dogs roaming the but didn't trouble us). You can walk back a bit and take photos from the main road. If adventurous, the only way I found to get down to the water was to scramble down the rough ground, and negotiate the rocks. This used to be a public area, but now it's unclear. I saw no signs, but I suspect some of the land may have been bought for development or "improvements". They have put gates on the entrance to protect the diggers/bulldozers that are on site. The wreck is in Greece, more precisely thirty miles from Athens in the bay of Eleusi. Capsized in 2003 it lays on her side after being towed to a shallow when it started taking on water. It was overcast the day we visited and we found abandoned railroad tracks that paralleled the wreck. A baricade/gate has been put up at the so it is not possible to go to the waterfront anymore. Stumbled upon this place by accident - wow it’s incredible. Never seen anything like it. You can get right up to the ship if you walk down the path (might be a closed gate) watch out for a small gang of dogs too.
