The waiter was struggling with his English, but managed to serve me in an excellent friendly way. Nice seating area, and at night , it turns into a live bar that is worth visiting! Recommend. Biggest downside in Bulgaria is that everyone smokes 🚬 everywhere. Disgusting habit to smoke indoors you smell on a ashtray. All Europe follow rules but in Bulgaria everyone is above the law. The bar It's small and crowded, I don't enjoy the inside at all, but the outside tables are a pleasant place to relax when the weather is nice. Depends also on the though, sometimes is just noise- too loud and annoying. The menu is full with colourful and fun drinks, a lot of them called cocktails but honestly, to me they all taste the same- kind of bland and almost no alcohol; also there is some kind of sirop in each one of them, so even if it's supposed to be sour it's more likely to be sweet. The staff is ok, all of them are polite and smiling, some are also fun, but the is a bit slow. There is life and it seems that a lot of like it, so try it if you are in this kind of things. Great place to have brunch and coffee. We got the burger and the Caesar salad, a cup of coffee and a lemonade. The burger was amazing, however the salad was so-and-so. The prices are good. It’s definitely a 4.5/5 overall. A very & cozy bar with a warm welcoming atmosphere. It offers live performances, along with a rich bar & reasonable prices. The is grate, and the food is nice. Only criticism, but an important one is, that when you served food for mor than one person on a table, you should bring everyone food together. My food came 10min before my girlfriend food, and was just standing and getting cold when I was waiting for her food to come out, so we can start eating together. I thought it wouldn't be fair to leave a 1 star review just based on my experience during the last year but this would've been well deserved. Frequenting The Brick for the last 5 years I was overall satisfied. The was the only weak link. Nowadays the is even worse. Waitresses dashing around not bothering to look around the tables and take orders. The drinks are getting progressively smaller and leave you with the feeling of being conned. The only redeeming part are the artists performing there. My 2 star rating is an average. 4 stars 5 years ago, 3 stars 2-3 years ago and 1 star now. Really sad. The place is great - they often host live with some truly talented performers. The cocktails are and the is decent. One thing to keep in mind: during summer, most understandably prefer to sit outside, while the live takes place inside. This means the audience can be small, but the is still fun and enjoyable. Anyways day mate. place except the theft from the Varna Harbour parking. U can pay cash only, there is only one ATM 1/4 mile away and see 4 urself, not workin'. We managed to find some cash searching inside the car but guess what: from 4 leva (roughly 2 euros) parking fee became 10 euros ' cause "we are not exchange house" so the moron at the barrier took the money and wouldn' t give any change in leva or euro or whatsoever. Suppose I be one restaurant owner located there (huge shared parking) and see the idiot customer doesn't speak Bulgarian I would throw with my own hands that moron intro the sea or, at least, I try to let know about that those gipsy tricks that, cummulated, might keep foreign customers away. Not so hard to put a warning on the wall, I've seen at least 5 cars in 10 minutes backing away from the barrier ' cause they had no cash. If you tolerate theft, you are a part of it. If you tolerate gypos errodate ur business, u' re simply stupid. I will never land there again, even with an armored car full of leva. There are a lot of places around the world, Bulgaria inclussive, where sorted gypos out. Disgraceful Experience at the Brick Bar in Varna - Avoid at All Costs! While the inside the bar was lively and enjoyable, the night turned into a nightmare thanks to the most disgusting security guards and the incompetent wardrobe lady. I used their wardrobe and was given a chip for my jacket, but unfortunately, I lost it in the crowd. When I approached the wardrobe at 4:00 AM, explaining the situation to the lady, she responded with the dumbest possible smile and said, “Go search for it; I can’t give you your jacket.” How was I supposed to find a tiny chip in a crowded club? My was right there, one meter away, yet they refused to hand it over. I understand the need for policies, but this one is completely broken. Do they really think I would try to steal someone else’s jacket? Mine was a Nike jacket, not even purchased in Bulgaria. To make matters worse, instead of resolving the issue rationally, they called security, who escalated things unnecessarily. One of the security guards even whispered to another that if I didn’t leave immediately, he was going to, and I quote, “break my teeth.” This is utterly unacceptable behavior from staff who are supposed to maintain safety, not intimidate patrons. Since it was New Year’s Eve, no taxis were available. I had to walk 35 minutes in freezing -1°C weather with nothing but my hoodie because they refused to return my jacket. The behavior of the staff - especially the security guards, whose IQs seem lower than a chimpanzee’s - is appalling. This experience shows the cruelty and stupidity some are capable of. I will never return to this disgraceful place, and I will make sure others are aware of how horribly they treat their customers. P.S. To the one security that wanted to break my teeth, I hope he’a going to see this review and once again acknowledge that I personally posses more intelligence than he can ever comprehend! Hi guys, 2nd time I've been in The ,Brick Bar, Varna, so location and atmosphere, excellent professional service, I felt so welcoming from the host girl and the waitress, fast service, kind and polite attitude and not on the last absolutely coffee and lemonade I had. Highly recommend that bar and definitely will go again, can't wait for life entertainment. luck guys! We come here on the first day every time we visit Varna and its always great. The coffee, home-made lemonade and fries are all outstanding and the burgers fresh and filling. Its also situated right near the Sea Garden for a walk afterwards, with indoor and outdoor seating depending on the season.
