Everyone inside is always so excited to show you their city, know so much about things to see and do, and are rarely crowded or just there to sell you overpriced tours. This one was no reception, but they also had cute local products to boot! Definitely stop in here at the beginning of your stay in Maribor! They are so friendly and very helpful. The staff inside are so helpful, and their knowledge on the city and the local attractions is amazing. I was given a map of the city, which showed the different sights and attractions I could see, the staff working their also suggested some of the better activities to do on the day (as it was raining heavily), all of which I did and had such a good time. They also have a good selection of high quality souvenirs, which is great as this was something I didn't see much of elsewhere in the city. Pretty great and very helpful people working there. The tourist information center is right in front of Maribor's beautiful basilica. The staff is super friendly, and they sell many souvenirs. Wir haben uns spontan für eine Stadtführung entschieden. Die nächste reguläre deutschsprachige Tour wäre für uns leider zu spät gewesen. Es wurde für uns extra ein deutschsprachiger Gide angerufen, und der hat für uns 6 eine super Stadtführung gemacht, sehr kompetent und freundlich. Very good information.
