Blois-Chambord Information Center

Blois, France Tourist information center

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Excellent advice about the Royal chateau and also local music events Super helpful and nice gifts to buy I stopped in this little tourist information twice on my stay. The first time was to inquire about the shuttle bus to the Chambord, Cheverny, and Beauregard. The young lady spoke great English and gave me all the necessary information. I went on my way and visited two of the three chateaus the next day. I still wanted to get out to Beauregard on Monday but the tourist shuttle doesn't run Mondays in late October. After using the free wifi they have, I noticed it was a 6 mile walk to Beauregard. I asked the same young lady if it was possible to walk or ill advised due to traffic. With he biggest of smiles she responded, "Yes, of course if you use the bike lanes." I expected a blank stare like I'd get if asking about walking 6 miles in the US but instead walked away with a bike routes map and directions on how to get started. The walk was actually a highlight of my entire trip and it mostly happened because of the friendly service provided in the this tourist information shop. They have all kinds of maps, info, and brochures. They speak great English and smiled when helping me. If you have any questions, give them a visit! Very help staff and loads of free maps to take away. Also offers postcards and gifts to buy. Worth popping by before exploring Blois and the wider area. I was only told to go to the castle to buy tickets. I wanted to leave my bags there but it costs 5 euros/ bag!!! Too busy to help me but had maps etc with all information easily accessible The officers inside can speak multiple languages and they helped a lot for my tour and visit nearby places. Very helpful if you want to visit chateaus without a car. The staff gave me schedules for various buses and highlighted which times would work best if I wanted to see multiple chateaus in one day. It would have been difficult to find this information on Google Maps or elsewhere online because there are multiple different transport services available, some of which aren’t on Google Maps.
