Pate was but it felt like some part of the rillette, which was served in huge quantities in a pot, was not as fresh as if they added leftover from other dishes unfinished by other patrons. I didn’t see any patrons finish the rillette and they refused, unlike other dishes, to allow people to take it to go, citing a never heard before concern about making you sick as it turns bad fast. I think it is because they want to keep it to re-use it and it is already old. Our steak was very slim and full of nerve and fat, and hard to cut. We didn’t enjoy it as it was hard to chew and not tasty. It was also not medium rare as asked but I guess with a piece so slim, it was difficult to achieve. The fries were good. The cheese plate was great and generous. It took forever for us to get our ice-cream desert. The owner or manager lady was not friendly. A unique dining experience for sure! The entrecote was tough but the French fries and baba rhum were excellent. The service was amazing. The table next to us got the cote de beouf and it looked really delicious. I enjoyed the whole experience of eating in a cave and would definitely go again. Nice service and food and drink options for groups. Nice restaurant with an outdoor terrace, but the real magic is inside. The inside dining area appears to be dug into the hill and you eat in a lovely cool subterranean space. Service is pretty quick and a nice range of foods and drinks and at a reasonable price too. Nice atmosphere and in lovely surroundings!
