Beverly Parks is a 49-acre local nature reserve with an orchard with a large variety of apples and pears, including rare local specimens. The site dates back to a deer park mentioned in the doomsday book. There are fenced-in circular pathways that go around the edge of the site. A lot of trees have been planted in the grazing pastures, including sweet chestnut, lime, oak, and ash. The is very popular with dog walkers and hikers. There is good signage with maps at the entrance and a small car park. There are a few benches and tables. The countryside access team has done a fantastic job. A lovely to walk, I gave 4 stars as the signpost to the main parking was very unclear. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my stroll (about an hour) with friends, finishing at the nearby Beverley Garden Centre for lunch and Loo's. Accessibility - fairly level grass and country paths. I would suggest wheelchair users download the site map and follow the path towards the Orchard. No toilets. Car Parking (free) - on grassed area, limited parking in a narrow lane at the 2nd entrance. Toilets - none Yorkshire Honey 🍯 have a dedicated (with warning signs) for their hives and teach bee keeping. Nice place to stroll around particularly late afternoon at this time of the year when the sun is out. A lovely place to visit anytime of the year but obviously summer can be better when the tables can be put to good use. Situated just south of Beverley's minster way bypass is in walking distance or a short drive A lovely walk, interesting to see the bees. Nice there are benches and tables, ideal for a picnic. I've lived in Hull for 28 years and had no idea this was so close to home. A lovely little that I now regularly go out of my way for. It's a small area, so don't expect to make a day of it. But for a nice half hour stroll/picnic you can't do better. Update: still going here 3 years later. Still ace. Great place for short walks and picnics. No facilities and a little confusing if it's your first visit. The is in two parts with a small field separating them. There is a great wood in one part full of adventure for little ones! I love this place, can get busy, and some do not pick up their dog poo. Apart from that i have had some great adventures with the kids. Lovely clean nature reserve. During summer and autumn you will find a choice of apple's, cherries, plums, hawthorn, pears and walnuts. There is also alot of mushrooms to look for but always be careful when checking. The it's self in the tree's has a few different paths but during autumn and winter the paths are very covered in parts. There are numerous trails through the surrounding woods and various benches dotted around for a mid-amble lunch. Perfect for short nature walks, as there's a great variety of flora to enjoy. Plus, a decidedly dramatic view of Beverley Minster from the carpark. We didn’t stay long as it was extremely cold and started raining so only did the little walk, was lovely though and we will definitely come back when it’s a little warmer Great for a dog walk!
