Lovely pub. Had the lamb but it was undercooked for me. But the was very helpful and I got the lamb cooked to my liking. Great outdoors play area for children. Non alcoholic drinks if driving. Recommend taking a look. Thank you to Rachael, and the team, at The Triton Inn for hosting our wedding last week! Rachael’s attention to detail, creativity and flexibility meant that our day was everything we wanted it to be! The venue looked superb, the Platinum Buffet and Hog Roast were stunning. The Bar were extremely friendly and accommodating. We have had such lovely comments from our guests to pass on! Would highly recommend! We had a family gathering here last week. The location is super, the inn is beautiful, sadly this is where it ended for me. I ordered chicken Kiev and it was floating in oil I used 3 of the thick napkins to soak it up and it still had lots of oil. The food was bland and even when I informed the waitress 3 times that she had missed a serving of chips we never got them. Over all beautiful place and location let down with the food I had Great food and a nice atmosphere but was slightly spoiled by the wedding next door. When I went to the toilet there was sick in one of the urinals and several of the wedding party making it quite intimidating. Absolutely superb! We arrived on a Sunday without a booking. We were taken to a in no time at all. The service and food were both excellent. We'll definitely be returning. Quite an imaginitive menu compared to many places. Food cooked to order and enjoyable, though vegetables were fresh, hot and crisp they should not be an extra but part of the main course. The down side was the room was extremely noisy, with too many tables. We walked through a room which was empty that could have been used. The place needs more soft furnishings, carpets, cloths to reduce noise and better training of waiters and waitresses before they are let loose among the public, though the latter comment could be applied to a lot of places that serve food. One of the very best pubs I’ve ever been to. Food is amazing. Really fresh and vibrant flavours. It is a beautiful setting. are so attentive and friendly. Huge outdoor play area for kids. Can’t recommend it highly enough. We arrived for our lunch that was booked at 1:00 half an hour early. We were happy to wait but were told we were okay to take our table. We were still waiting for 3 other people to arrive so thought we’d just have a drink and order food when they got here. When we got to the there weren’t enough chairs or places set for us either. We were asked far too many times if we were ready to order. We appreciate it’s good to be attentive but it was just too much & was asked with pretty much 5 minute intervals by the same servers? Was just a bit odd. When the rest of our party arrived we ordered & the food was nice. Overall we didn’t feel attitude from was great, not all just certain individuals. It didn’t seem like anyone was communicating, we had food for a different brought to our by the same server that took our order 5 minutes earlier & seemed confused. The atmosphere was quite chaotic. After food we were asked about desserts again so many times. We had 2 young children with us too and it all just felt very rushed. We ordered 2 coffees at about 2:40. About 10 minutes later we still hadn’t got the coffee’s and were then told they needed the back at 3 and it should say in the confirmation email. We said we wish we’d have been reminded as we wouldn’t have ordered coffee’s and then felt again like we were rushed. With the fact that we’d rushed drinking our coffees we then had to chase the bill with multiple members & ended up having to go to the bar to pay. We opted not to pay the optional 10% service charge. Wouldn’t recommend if you want a calm relaxing lunch & didn’t appreciate the negative attitude from certain members. Maybe was just an off day but we don’t feel it’ll be somewhere we’ll return to.
