We have been visiting this restaurant every time we travel to this part of Sweden, and it has truly become a family favorite. We remember when it was an open space without the glass walls, and we’ve enjoyed seeing it evolve into the beautiful spot it is today. The addition of the glass walls has only enhanced the experience — now, rain, wind, or strong sun don’t matter at all. You can enjoy the stunning views of the river comfortably in any weather. The staff has consistently been kind and welcoming on every visit, which makes us feel right at home. We’ve enjoyed both drinks and food here many times. Some of our favorites include Tompen’s Räka, Grillad Entrecôte, hamburger, and the Fläskfilé. The Grillad Entrecôte is a particular highlight — the wine sauce reduction and garlic butter come together perfectly, and every time we’ve requested it medium rare, it has been cooked exactly as we like it. The burger is always a treat, and the fillet of pork with blue cheese sauce that I tried recently was a delicious surprise. Overall, this place has become a must-visit for us, and we always look forward to coming back on our next trip to Sweden. The service was great through I would wish that the food would be on the same level The burger was cold and dry and had burnt spots on it. The buns were cold as well. The chairs were too low for the tables and kind of hard to eat. The beers came in glasses instead of pints! The staff were kind. Location location location! The staff needs to work on their customer service. We picked it because it was the only dog-friendly restaurant in Leksand. The good reviews and location were a nice plus. The lunch menu during low season is limited to Scampi cesar salad and Hamburgers, hence the 4 stars. The food was delicious and the staff was really nice and attentive.
