It’s a nice exhibit, well prepared and displayed. The VR was definitely my favorite and better than the immersive room itself. You have to pay an extra 3 euros for this. It would be nice if there would be an age limit. Loud 4 year olds, running around really ruin the vibe of the whole presentation. We went on a Sunday evening and bought the tickets on spot. The staff helped us in getting them in no time. The museum itself is nice. You start with history and art of Van Gogh with some 3D projection. It goes through the most important incidents happened in his life and ends with virtual reality game and also drawing activities. Recommended if you are an art lover. This is one of most unforgettable experiences that I have ever had in my life. I would encourage to pay a visit as possible. This me immersive is one part but the other: to know about Van Gogh, his life and how he ended up become one of the greatest painters of all time. Simply amazing. Also, I liked the way they made us the part of this journey than a spectators. We were asked to paint our imaginations out on the sketches of Van Gogh. Again an excellent time spent there. Loved it!! Great digitalised exhibition. I recommend to take VR glasses at the exit. Living paintings are a separate reality. I enjoyed it very much, I recommend visiting. It was over and underwhelming at the same time. Many more like this should be done, adding a layer of 21st century to the static art. It should just be done better. The walkway leading to the "immersive experience" is a job well done. The immersive though... the idea is great, the execution was lacking. 24fps for fast moving objects leads to stuttering. Some of the animations looked like it was rushed, did not get the necessary care. The top not being covered at least with a mesh is shooting yourself in the foot. Short throw projectors, or even projecting from behind the screen could have made this way better. The sound... I had no probs with the music, but the sound... Dolby atmos not being used is a missed opportunity. The resonance frequency of the speakers were not taken into account, or maybe standing waves were forming, I am not the one who will tell you why but there was a bump, a hill in the spectrum. I would close this by stating that I am happy that I have seen it. It is art in its own right. There is room for improvement though, and it makes me even more tempted to attend at the next one. Oh, the 3d glasses. Please, forget it. The lenses were not clear from the inside, and it was blurry. That needs a lot more work to reach the level what the tech could provide. It might sound like I did not enjoy this, but that could not be further from the truth. Go and visit this, and push the creators of this to go the extra mile next time! Amazing experience, combination with VR and digital technologies makes the brighter. Must visit place! I was a little disappointed when I saw that the pictures were printed copies. Then I lost my sense of delight. The only thing I really liked was the room with animation projections, which are projected on all 4 walls and the floor. But you can see that someone really patiently tried best to edit that animation. While I don't understand why people took photos ofVan Gogh's printed copies, I recommend going just for that animation room. The ticket price is expensive enough, and you still have to pay extra for Virtual Reality. That's not fair somehow. Anyway, it's ok. It's not the best, it's not the worst. Too expensive for digital exhibition. "Immersive" is limited to a one room and the animations are mediocre... Also VR you have to pay additional 3 euros. Lockers also !!?? Compared to works of Atelier des Lumières it's a modest (to say the least) reproduction.
