Played pitch and putt. Mates need replacing. And ticket checks need to be done. Am sure we are the only four that pay. Came here first time last week with my lad we enjoyed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Small fee and deposit for club hire. Thought price was cheaper than it was but still not bad, will return 👍 The park is a place. Loved it Heaton Park in blackley large area with usual spaces large Manor house and gardens petting area for the children and cafe a private course attached as well, lovely on a sunny day, 🌞 work out. Interesting course with well kept greens at a reasonable price. Welcome to all. to see young folk about playing and selling golf. Some work still to be done developing the reception and cafe area and better tee signs needed. Took my son, he enjoyed it and wants to go back Had a experience at the Heaton Park on Saturday. Travelled up from Southampton for an import weekend with some friends and this is the only place we could 36 on the Saturday with buggies. value for money and the course was in nick considering the weather we’ve had. Some really challenging but I would again. Very pitch and putt course, has plenty of features and challenges that will bring you back playing it again and again - no two rounds are the same. Generally has been well maintained and a few now have new teeing off mats however some need replacing. Pitch and putt for kids and lower ability golfers.. can get busy so go early in morning. Has main full 18 hole course for when you get better! The course is a challenging course, its very but really enjoyed playing here for the 1st time at the weekend, the condition of the course was even with the wet weather we have had. I will definitely be returning here. course. Fantastic views some really holes. Ended up with a birdie and five pars. Shot under 100 for the first time. Only negative was really slow. Got stuck behind two four balls and I was on my own. Some daunting tee shots but a challenge staff specially Julie and Gary. Always make you feel welcome. Course is very challenging with steep hills but it adds to the challenge. Love this course views. All round it’s a fantastic course. The Pitch and Putt is for practice.. and the cafe is cozy. Played Heaton Park Course today was supprised at what a fantastic condition the course was in especially the greens. Credit to the greenkeepers Very course with lots of blind shots. Once you have played a few times you know where to hit the ball for best position. Fantastic views from the course. Staff friendly and welcoming. I’ve played here a lot over the years and the new guys running it have got it into the best condition I’ve ever seen it. Quite and a lot of blind shots but if you’re hitting it straight it’s not a problem. Some excellent and some amazing views. One of the best courses in the north west without a doubt. Went for a full 18 round. It’s a tough course that has a lot of hill climbing. I lost a lot of balls in the rough on this course. Once your ball is in the rough, it’s gone for good. This is one of the worst courses I have played. Its a reasonable place to go if it’s a group of young lads having some beers on the way round who aren’t worried about scoring or waiting. But as a regular golfer this was by far the worst course I have ever played. There was litter every where. The no one repairs anything, from divots to pitchmarks. The bunker have more rubble than sand in. The 11th is one breath of fresh air that seems to have been visited by a keeper before. Seriously. This is the best municipal course in the area. Easily. Drains UNBELIEVABLY well even in mid winter. The greens are still running true even at the end of October. £16 a pop. Must visit, mega underrated course this is. Very hilly!!! Lost a few balls due to not being able to see over the hills. I would advise not to if you're over 20 HCP. Greens and actual care of the course was fantastic. Friendly staff and very helpful. Just be prepared to have sore legs afterwards. Played this morning. This course is incredibly with lots of blind shots. Course is in condition with some nice holes. But if you’re looking to play, I’d book a buggy. Pitch and Putt course has seen much better days, but I imagine if you can in those conditions anything is possible. £28 for 5 lake balls, attendance for two, and putter and 9 iron hire. The pitch and putt cafe looks to be closed. As a kid I remember this being such a place. Time has just taken its toll. Evidence of people getting onto the course starting fires in the wooden tee sign posts. Sad. Hope it can get some investment soon to regenerate. Overall, we had fun, would come again. Me and My 2 boys contacted them to when we travelled to Manchester from Boston in May 2023. They were very helpful and nice. Rental clubs were available, and course was a fun change from local Boston courses. Staff was great..... Recommend for a fun day. Arguably the best municipal course in the North West, very well maintained from tee to green, tough front 9 with the first four being blind tee shots so placement is key. The back 9 is glorious, the 11th is the signature hole, hit the on this and you’ll enjoy the walk through the valley. On a nice day enjoy the views as you climb up the seventeenth, you’ll need to catch your breath so stand back and admire the scenery. Luckily the 18th is all downhill and there is food and a well stocked drinks fridge whilst you tally up your score. It is a parkland course but buggies are available and very reasonably priced too, the fee is half the price of other nearby clubs and even at a gentle pace I’m round in 3 hours. Car parking is included in your fee, just note your reg in the clubhouse. An interesting and challenging course. Very hilly. Prices have been cranked up by around a tenner in the last 2 years, and the course is in worse condition! Absolute shambles on the 15th (across the ravine) as the brick bridge has disintegrated. The solution? To expect you to negotiate a very steep muddy hill downwards, and then an incredibly narrow set of stairs to the landing zone. Totally impractical when pulling a buggy. A shame as this can be a cracking round of golf. Really fun course to with amazing staff! I lost an adrenaline pen on the course and Ava searched the entire area to find it for me on hole 8! Thank you so much, brilliant! THE worst course ive played anywhere in the world. Unless you hit every shot under 100yds you have zero clue where your ball goes, or more importantly if the fairway is even safe to in front. Admittedly there are painfully slow players, but as a muni course you appreciate that as everyone has to learn but that isnt even the problem. I had no idea a course could be so dangerous. In addition to the course being unplayable, there are local scrotes who are clearly stealing balls off fairways. I wouldnt here if it was free and you got a free set of ping clubs for playing.
