One of the Most Reviewed Gyms in Heywood Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Great gym with a lot of equipment to choose from. I hope this will be my second home. Enjoying lane swim in the evening, pool area clean and always attented by lifeguard. Music in the evening it is a nice touch Took my disabled daughter to the pantomime, beauty and the beast. Before buying tickets, I enquired which seats I could book for the wheelchair. I was advised e1, e2, f1, f2. I booked f1 and f2. These seats were opposite the entry and exit doors and it was cold sat there and annoying with people in and out every minute. The pantomime was very good and a very mordern telling of the tale. Ashley and les Battersby out of corrie were in it. It was funny and had some adult humour too. I'd defo go again, but would just book different seats Well maintained and plenty of parking. Pool is good but steam room and Sauna are tiny. Sports facilities and gym is really nice. Everything that a family needs right in Heywood👍 I had adult lessons, I was progressing and found them helpful. However, being left unsupervised I went under the water briefly and physically was fine but then developed a phobia of the water as it was a scary experience. Speaking to another member of the team I found out I was advised incorrectly whilst practicing arms and that I always should of had a float until I was ready to progress independently. Furthermore, if you’re of childbearing age you miss two on a 10 week course for obvious reasons. I spoke to the receptionist who me they class periods as illness and to miss the class without it being credited etc, I find this view very dated as it’s unfair a man can have 10 but if it’s of the month then a woman has to miss it. Don’t appreciate Jacob shouting at me in front of all the other parents in public. If you have a problem speak to me politely and certainly don’t threaten to put my child elsewhere and walk away. Do they not teach you basic customer service and communication skills.?? Clearly not. This isn’t the last of this complaint. How dare you speak to me as a parent like you did. Absolutely unacceptable! Goldfish 2 Thursday 415. At the of writing this review, my child is on 94% with 1 element to complete to take him to 100%. Today, I got forcefully and in unacceptable manner in full public by Jacob ‘HE IS NOT LISTENING’. Jacob, correct me if I’m wrong, but you are a ‘teacher’ and if he’s clearly not getting the last element your teaching him, your clearly not engaging him or your clearly getting it wrong in your manner. I observe from the balcony every session, tonight was no exception. Was it a long day Jacob, or you just couldn’t be bothered??! Some children don’t grasp it first time, second and so forth, that’s why it’s called ‘teach’ your clearly in the wrong job. How dare you threaten me to move him elsewhere! Who gives you the right to do that and how dare you speak to me in the manner you did. Please don’t start a conversation and then walk away. I am the customer and you are the ambassador for the leisure centre clearly an UN ACCEPTABLE ambassador tonight. You keep teaching until they get it! Don’t take the shoddy easy way out and label the child as a ‘non listener’ and threaten to move him! Absolutely shocking! You have tonight mentally knocked my 9 year old son’s confidence to shreds! Great atmosphere, staff and lots of parking. I love you can book swimming, although always busy it means I can get a good swim most of the time. Im a new member so haven't tried the other facilities yet The gym has turned into a dump, children break the exercise because they lift heavy weights and then just dropped this weight down. I personally saw how one child lifted dumbbells that were bigger than his body. Everyone who works out professionally knows that these children will not achieve any results because their bodies are not ready for this yet. Their bodies have not yet formed muscles. Those who work in the gym should monitor this so that no one breaks the exercise machines, but they just look at this and remain silent, I understand that they do not care, but I pay for my membership and want to work out, but the most important exercise are broken and no one cares about this. A lot of people have changed gyms because it is impossible to work out. I understand that this is all because of money, but then at least make a schedule for everyone, for example children from 8-16 and then for adults from 16-22. You will never be able to understand this because you do not work out in the gym. I come to the gym to work out, not to sit on a bench and text someone every 2 minutes. The staff is supposed to monitor what's going on in the gym, not stay silent. People smoke vapers right during workouts, what kind of mess is this? Why does no one care what's going on? I like the gym atmosphere here although a lot of the are usually broken so have to wait for other to free up. However, my partner and I have our memberships but our cards won't let us in each (Been happening since last week when we for the memberships). The lady usually lets us through after checking our accounts on the pc and she knows they have been for however last night, they wouldn't let us in and said our cards are suspended but wouldn't tell us why after I asked. We have both definitely our memberships so it's humiliating to be turned away at the gate although we have been attending since last week. I have requested a refund for the month on both our accounts as I am paying just to be turned away. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making this venue user-friendly and enjoyable for all visitors. Very disappointing encounter this afternoon at Heywood Sports Village. We turned up with our LG only to be both of the pools are full. There is no way of booking for public swim session which is absolutely ridiculous especially during school holidays. This is not the first this has happened, there were also many parents and kids right before and after us left disappointed. This could simply be avoided if the booking system worked and was in place! PLEASE ADD PUBLIC SWIM TO THE BOOKING SYSTEM Very badly organised. 28th July brought my daughters here for at 14:00, got under 18s only despite there being no mention of this on the pool timetable. Was also another session 16:45. Turned up again at 16:30 (15 minutes early to try and make sure we got tickets), got there were on and they were not letting anyone in (why couldn’t the receptionist have me this on our first visit?!) They also won’t let you book in advance, you are expected to just turn up at the and hope you get lucky. Not the first we have had similar issues here. From now on going somewhere where they know what they are doing. If you want your kids to be disappointed, this is the place for you! I for my daughter’s over the phone £65 . I was to come on Wednesdays and 12pm. I went two Wednesdays and I was there was no lessons. Since then I have been trying to call them to know exact and days for lesson but no one answers the question honestly. It’s as if I they have scammed me. I need my money back . Facilities ok when they are not broke, takes a very long to get fixed. One machine in particular has been out of service for at least 2 months. When I signed up and for the year I also inquired about a membership for my 15 year old son to be you had to be 16 which was clearly a lie. Kids are constantly in there playing on the equipment, the school holidays is an absolute joke, one I was waiting 20 minutes for a group of kids to each have a go at lifting 5 kilograms. About 10 lockers with the hooks to hang clothes on with only 2 hangers to use for those hooks. Staff are pleasant enough I'm a truck driver, I came to swim at the pool at 8 pm and at the reception they rudely replied that they had no free space! In fact the pool closes at 10 pm!
