We camped in our tent for one night during our biking tour. The area for tents is on a separate grassy area where the grass is modern and cut long, thus making it soft - nice one 😀. There are perfect lakes and mountain views. There are 4 individual combined toilet and units right next to the tent area, and mainly for the use of the tenters. There are relatively new and are clean. There is a kitchen area with 2 ovens and sinks, plus 1 fridge. It is fully equipped with plates, cutlery and pots/pans. There are several tables for eating, though they encourage people only to stay there for food preparation and eating. You have to take off your shoes before entering, so the floor is and more like your home 👍. Didn’t try the restaurant but they sell basic food and fish n chips from 2 to 8pm. A lovely spot with everything you need. The campground is surrounded by a stunning fjord and conveniently located near the hiking trails of Senja. The staff were friendly, the showers were and worked well, and there’s a cozy bar/restaurant offering simple food and drinks. The only puzzling part was the rule requiring vehicles to park rear-facing toward the fjord. Unfortunately, that meant we couldn’t enjoy the view from inside our camper van, which was a bit of a letdown given the beautiful scenery. One of the best camping sites we visited. The tent ground and the small cabins were good value and the facilities like and kitchen were and spacious. The staff were also very nice and the restauraunt was surprisingly good. The only down side that there could be a separate dish washing station as there was a queue in the kitchen in the morning and maybe one or two more bathrooms. Location was good when hiking Segla, Keipen etc. We stayed for one night with motorhome. Fjordbotn camping was absolutely the best one of the camping areas we stayed in that week. Reseption was pleasant and we had all the info we needed. Showers and toilets were and there was hot water still in the evening. Area was nice and peaceful. Restaurant served good dishes and cold beer. There is a aign at the door to the bathroom that the entry costs 20 NOK for non guests. However they charge you 100 NOK for the shower, which is more than double than the most expensive anywhere on the Lofoten. There's also a note, that in the evening theymight run out of hot water. Imagine paying 100 NOK for a cold shower. There was no toilet paper on the toilet, the had some mold on the ceiling and pretty dirty fan. Just drive further to Lysnes, where you can find van parking for 250 NOK /night all inclusive. Tent area was full and very noisy because of children and their loud parents. Also couldn't see any beautiful views from there. Toilets and showers were but didn't work at all in the morning. Customer service was friendly. I really loved staying at this campsite. Spent 7 days on road around norway and this was the best campsite I found. We stayed in one of those cute cabins overlooking the fjord. The owner is such a nice person :). The kitchen and 6 toilet and bathroom combos were really new and well maintained. Highly recommend this campsite.
