The terrace is fully Wind-covert and the view is amazing I live in the SF Bay area but have been visiting friends who live in Friesland. They took me to the this restaurant today for lunch. It was of contemporary design and delightfully situated close to a beach off IJsselmeer Bay. All glass and wood with open air and inside seating, the sea and beach views were quite pleasing no matter where you sat. The first thing I ordered was a Flat White coffee with an extra shot. It was fantastic. Then I ordered the Krokets and Tomato soup with brown bread and roughly ground mustard. Every bite was very tasty. The Krokets were crispy and filled with a pleasant tasting vegetarian mixture. I highly urge a stop at this restaurant if you are in the area. You won’t regret it! Charming place at a small beach. Food seemed decent at first but when we ordered a hamburger without bacon (for strict reasons) we found that one of the burgers actually had bacon! We understand that mistakes happen and the waiter apologized and offered to get a new one. Within 5 minutes we got half (!!) a hamburger served (the same one we returned probably) in a new bun on the same used plate! For someone who doesn’t eat Pork for religious reasons, pork is similar to eating dog meat for a westerner: I bet when you would send your hamburger back you don’t want to receive the same back, grilled on dog fat? Very disappointing and simply unacceptable. The waiter correctly removed one burger from the invoice but that was not why we came to eat at your restaurant. This deserves a thorough word with your kitchen crew!! Is this same issue with allergies? We both had the burgers and enjoyed them a lot.
