Lots of galleries, gardens and interesting history. Popular for weddings and birthdays. The itself is pretty. It just feels a bit empty on some parts and I whish there is more of history background. The voucher in café is great. You get drinks for a cheap with it :) Gardens very nice, quirky herb gardens, art installations in gardens also quite appealing. itself very pretty. Outside is keept old, inside renovated to standards in order to hold the art exhibitions. It is very unique taste of art, not to everybody's taste, but culturally important milestone. gardens! However the restoration of the leaves much to be desired. The art and interior style did not really appeal to us. but the surroundings are beautiful. We were to early to see the hydrangea collection in bloom, but the rhododendron were lovely The absolutely worth a visit , the charming beauty of the building not to mentioned the stunning garden, family ticket ( of 5 person cost €15 and you’ve got €5 coupon back that you can use at their cafe , I mean they serves a lavazza coffee so it ain’t shabby at all with all local cakes delicacy) tough the exhibition inside were really my cup of tea unless you’re arts lover while I’m more Vincent Van Gogh arts admires Very castle, gorgeous garden, super nice place to walk around and enjoy the nature, but inside of is disappointing. New art museum inside, totally not my style and some artist's skupture exhibition, not very beautiful. We went to that with expectation to see how was hundreds years ago, how people lived, how it looked like, to feel that spirit. Inside is completely white everything renovated, feel like normal building. 😕 great place to go with the whole family. .tickets are not expensive views beautiful. at the end you can drink coffee and pay a slightly less voucher for the purchase of a ticket to the museum. views the surrounding nature and the old buildings of the figures of the park really from the outside, but the inside was unexpected. the inside was decorated with modern/experimental art but there were some rooms that explained the castle’s history which was super interesting. you could also take a narrow brick stair case to the top so you could see the view from atop which was really pretty. really from the outside, but the inside was unexpected. the inside was decorated with modern/experimental art but there were some rooms that explained the castle’s history which was super interesting. you could also take a narrow brick stair case to the top so you could see the view from atop which was really pretty. was beautiful, but had the weirdest "art" show I've ever witnessed. Couldn't see the inside of the castle, even though we paid tickets, without walking in to the room with people sitting in corners crying or breathing in to microphones. Completely ruined the experience of a midevil and a complete waste of money. It was exactly what we expected for a gallery that has the largest Joseph Beuys collection. Yes it’s in a medieval with an interesting history but the you will be disappointed if you are there purely for the Castle. It was a bucket list visit for my husband who thoroughly enjoyed himself as he’s a huge Beuys fan. We were not able to explore the gardens due to the weather, however the walk from the entrance to the was beautiful. It was a great post art experience. Highly recommend a visit if you are a fan of sculpture and performance art in an impressive medieval castle.
