Good view with a lot of kites 👍. The sandy is with good view to the whole of Plaka. Absolute beautiful sandy and my favourite on Naxos for its sheer beauty of both the sand and the sea. Although beware if you want to sunbathe it is more windy than other beaches. Its about 1km long and is immediately after the popular Plaka beach. It is popular with windsurfers. We walked here from Agios Prokopios (long walk) but there is a dirt road for access and apparently there is also a asphalt road that connects to Naxos Town (about 10km away). From here it is fabulous to walk along the either side – so beautiful. It was quiet when we visited (early May, start of the season). If you love sports like kiting, wind surfing this is place for you. If you enjoy watching people doing watersports you will also find satisfaction here. Otherwise maybe not your best choice. Many coves to enjoy the sun and discover the see (kite surfing & snorkeling). No sun beds, tavern close-by. Try the 2 smaller between Orkos and Plaka. Quiet and secluded. Take an epic picture with the incredible Nitos Statue at sunset. Stunning. Lol i can’t believe this has 4.7. This is one of the worst in Naxos. Wind is so strong you cannot do anything here, you can’t sit, you can’t swim, i don’t understand how can anyone even do sports here, but ok. is so cold, and imagine going out from cold into cold wind. I got allergic reaction to the cold, i had blisters all over my body. This NEVER happened to me anywhere, and i visited a lot of places and in my life. I would never recommend to anyone to swim here or stay here (because wind throws sand in the face so much, it burns). Maybe take a pic and run. Quite possibly the most beautiful on planet earth. The sand is like rice grains. A subtle breeze keeps all flies away. Sun is hot, is crystal clear, with a quick drop so you don’t need to go far out to go deep. And the surfers made for magical viewing. Good beach, rocky sand. Usually clear water, good for snorkelling. Some pretty fish and the occasional hidden octopus in the rocky areas 15m or so out. On windy days it is overrun with surfers which can be fun to watch but you better get out their way or they will rudely tell you to move.
