Could go inside, it think it is inhabited. Nice looking gate though. Nice from the outside, not sure if one can enter Ο Πύργος του Μπαρότζι στο Φιλώτι είναι ένα αξιοσημείωτο ιστορικό μνημείο που σε μεταφέρει πίσω στην ενετική εποχή της Νάξου. Χτισμένος γύρω στο 1650, αυτός ο επιβλητικός πύργος βρίσκεται στην καρδιά του χωριού Φιλώτι και προσφέρει μια ματιά στο φεουδαρχικό παρελθόν του νησιού. Η αρχιτεκτονική του, με τους παχείς τοίχους και τα μικρά παράθυρα, αντανακλά την αμυντική του λειτουργία κατά την ταραγμένη περίοδο της κατασκευής του. Η εξερεύνηση του πύργου και των γύρω περιοχών είναι μια μοναδική εμπειρία, ιδιαίτερα για τους λάτρεις της ιστορίας. Nothing much to see aside from the tower. It is also closed due to covid. Just keep swimming... Nothing special but the village is definitely worth a visit and a stroll around. We even came across a very nice old store (Theonas) with an old man at the till. Closed on Sundays. Got there, not a single description at the entrance was available of why this tower shall be important. There was a water fountain with drinkable water at entrance though. Un monumento rovinato e lasciato al tempo, distrutto e abitazione privata. Non da perderci tempo. L'unica cosa carina è l'iscrizione sul cancello d'ingresso, ovviamente sprangato. Private. You can’t go inside. Nothing to see really. You can't go in as it's privately owned and inhabited ( TV aerial on the roof is a give away). Not worth going out of your way to see. Had to stop and have a look. Not much to see. I read other reviews that said the place was uninhabited, but there were clothes outside hanging out to dry and I could see personal items through the window. There were some beautiful lime trees in the yard. This isn't any monument as we though. It's only small tower (main photo from Google Maps is abuse) and one floor. All is closed and neglected - you can't go inside, but if you could, you probably couldn't go upstairs because of lack of stairs*.
