We managed to watch some stunning birds as well, like the blue magpie and the fig eater. Bring water, hat and suncream, if the sun is shining it can get quite hot in this area. It started right on time and took us through beautiful nature full of birds and flowers. Highly recommend it. My wife and I went on the 2.5 hr trip with Tony as our guide (and two other couples). Had a great time doing something really unique and totally off the beaten path. Had no idea what to expect, but we really enjoyed ourselves and appreciated Tony! Had such a brilliant time! We did the 15km route, it took only 2 hours. We found it relatively easy, the inclines are not steep or long (although we do cycle regularly). The seats are comfy and there is space for your hand bag/water bottle etc. It's a great way to see the countryside and do something a bit different. Our guide Susana was so friendly and made us feel relaxed, her English was also excellent which we really appreciated as the rest of the group spoke Portuguese. Highly recommend :) We did the 2 hour circuit starting at 8:30 am because of the hot weather. It was the highlight of our holiday rail-biking through the countryside The trip was fantastic—beautiful afternoon light, stunning views, and the first signs of spring with fresh greenery all around.
