We recently had the pleasure of visiting an incredible cat sanctuary, and I can't say enough about the experience. From the moment we arrived, the volunteers welcomed us warmly and their passion for caring for the was immediately apparent. The is home to many, many cats, all of whom are lovingly cared for—each one deflead, dewormed, and vaccinated. The dedication of the volunteers is truly heartwarming. We spent a few hours there, mingling with the kitties and learning about the fascinating story of the Favignana cats. The volunteers shared the challenges they've faced in caring for such a large number of and their ailments but it was clear that their for the is what keeps them going. Their knowledge and devotion to every single cat was impressive, and it was a joy to see the so happy and healthy. If you're looking to adopt, this offers the opportunity to give one of these a forever home. But even if you’re not, just spending time with the is an experience in itself. I highly recommend a visit—it’s not just about the cats, but about the people who pour their hearts into giving these a better life. Many thanks to the organizers for the warm welcome. The are all well fed and loved by a very passionate and gentle signora who explained to us the history of the organisation and what they do. I’m very happy we stopped at this little oasis during our second day at Favignana. This is a beautiful place! The volunteers running the oasis know everything about the and create a space for them. As a visitor you can play with the cats, cuddle them or simply learn a lot. Definitely worth visiting while on Favignana. If you’re in favignana and like cats, you must visit. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner and several all vying for our attention. We were told the story of the sanctuary, and how it’s all volunteer run, before being taken to meet the kittens. The does amazing to help the of Favignana and you can sign up to donate just one euro a month to help them out, if enough people do this they’ll be able to continue their important work. The owner speaks very good English and tells you the story about the place and cats. You can see the cats, touch them, play with them or just spend some time chatting about animals. I found a flyer for it on one of the shops on the strip who had 2 shop kitties. I knew I had to during my stay in Favignana! Don’t be totally deterred by the hours, I got there at 11:30 and they were still there. Just try to stop by but they guarantee the hours of 9-11am. Anyway, what a JOY. The are so fun and visitors it’s really sweet to see what they’ve done for the space for the kitties to enjoy and thrive. This needs their help (they feed like hundreds of a day) and their importance cannot be understated. I donated during my and had the best time getting to know the kitties and the mission. Unfortunately there are a lot of them… The in Favignana is a place that restores hope. here have full bellies, they don't reproduce indefinitely and they go to the vet.
