Un traseu mediu cu o urcare continua. Țineți cont ca daca doriți sa faceți traseul de la Varful Giumalau la Cabana Giumalau si după la Polița Caprelor, sa fiți foarte atenți la traseu pt ca nu este marcat atat de bine si ai "ocazia" sa te pierzi. Ca si pont pe site-ul traseepemunte.ro aveți traseul exact. Țineți cont ca nu e un traseu atat se populat, pana in varf abia dacă am întâlnit câteva persoane duminica 21 iulie 2025 iar spre Cabana Giumalau e pustiu pt ca acest traseu nu e atat de popular. (don't like visiting the same place twice. :) although I have some unfinished business from some trips i took that might make me reconsiderate the principle). :P. back to the actual trip. started from Șaua Fundu' Colbului (the red stripe). you climb on a forest road. don't be surprised to see deforestation. when will they stop destroying our beautiful mountains?! when?! afterwards we entered the forest. i don't know what happen, but this seemed to me the easiest trip of all i took. like that, i was on the peak. maybe I'm getting better at hiking. :) we encounter on the way up a bunch of families with kids (no older than ten) resting while going up. i was shocked how young they were. but I think it's just me getting older. for sure. :) once on top you will be enjoying the beautiful hills, the Bistrița River, the Rarău Peak, and Ladies Rocks. i fell in love with the shadow of the clouds caressing the plains and forest while they were dancing in the sky. on the way back we went to the Giumalău Cabin. drank a beer there while resting. be careful not to get sun burned, like i did. now i have a watch even when I'm not wearing it. :) like always, i find it more difficult when descending, but I managed. i forget, this was the first time using walking stick. it's a blessing. maybe this why I found it to be the easiest climb. neh, it's because it's short, 2:30 hours up, and 2 down. all in all, it's was a great hike, and some beautiful sights. i recommend it. ;) Super.
