Various industries and important factories in this sector were active in the city in the last century: the "Vecchia Mondovì" Besio, the Richard Ginori, which closed in the 1970s, Beltrandi and many others, such as the first workshop of Francesco Perotti. Welcome to the museum! Arranged inside the Fauzone di Germagnano palace, this retains the memory of this long tradition. You can discover how a plate is made, and approach manufacturing techniques and decoration styles that have succeeded over time. The building is one of the oldest in the city - it dates from the first decades of the 13th century - and belonged to one of the most powerful noble families in Piedmont. The palace is a succession of historical and precious pieces, with 18th century wooden ceilings, complex stucco decorations as well as frescoes (including an extremely precious "phaethon"). It testifies to the important production of ceramics of the city between the 19th century and the 1970s. The collection of more than 600 pieces consists of the donations of the antique dealer Carlo Baggioli and the entrepreneur Marco Levi, the last owner of the Vedova Besio & Figlio manufacture. The 17 rooms present the stages of manufacturing and the parts created with different techniques: paint with a brush, stencil or the English method of transfer print. 2,000 other objects are part of the funds. They are kept in deposits and can be consulted by scientists, collectors and art lovers. The objects come from the collection of Marco Levi, the last owner and director of the factory "Besio".  In addition to the ceramics of its factory, Levi also bought the collection of Carlo Baggioli, the largest collection of ceramics made in Mondovi. Levi had long wanted a and realized his dream of creating a place to preserve the history of the local tradition. Interessante museo della ceramica, situato in un elegante ristrutturato nel Settecento. Numerose teche raccolgono suppellettili di varie tipologie mentre strumenti multimediali raccontano la storia e la realizzazione della ceramica. Bravi la guida e l'operatore del laboratorio. Visita particolarmente interessante,il museo sito in un storico sulla bella Piazza Grande della città alta ospita una collezione di sicuro valore. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vedere anche una mostra di ceramiche di Cesare Peverelli arricchita da afiches disegnate da Pablo Picasso. Il personale del museo è molto disponibile e il signore che ci ha introdotto alla mostra estremamente preparato. Museo molto interessante e all' interno di Fauzone che affaccia su piazza Maggiore.Siamo stati accolti da un signore che dopo aver fatto i biglietti ci ha accompagnato al primo piano e in modo molto dettagliato ha spiegato la breve storia della ceramica di Mondovì. Sono presenti vari manufatti dal 1800 al 1980 delle varie aziende artigianali.E un peccato che tutto ciò non esista quasi più . Interessante esposizione di ceramiche molto belle con spiegazioni delle varie tecniche di costruzione e cenni storici. Lo storico Fauzone in cui e' contenuta la mostra presenta dei piacevoli soffitti affrescati. Presenti anche mostre temporanee. Si sviluppa su 4 piani. Ambientata in un settecentesco che, da solo, merita la visita, un'ampi e variegata collezione di splendide ceramiche, con spiegazioni chiare ed esaustive anche per chi, come noi, non è ferrato sull'argomento. Be,lissima Situato in un nobiliare al centro di Piazza, bellissimo quartiere di Mondovì, degno di per sè assolutamente di una visita, è situato il Museo della Ceramica Molto ben organizzato espone pregevoli e storicamente interessanti oggetti di ceramica delle varie manifatture locali.
