Small, calm in the inland of Cyprus. Lofou is a where the old buildings and structures are well preserved. So if you walk through the it feels like a travel back in time but at the same moment you see how well it is taken care of. So it is absolutely worth stopping by and having a nice walk around. Very scenic with narrow streets and interesting places to visit like micro brewery. We were lucky and there was even a local festival with vendors and live music. We visited in November 2024. A very quiet at this time. There are 2x tavernas and both were shut for the season. Only small grocery shop/ bakery open. Nice little but it took us about 30 min to walk around it. Beautiful village, very peaceful wouldn't be a great escape if you had a villa with a pool. Nice taverna and micro brewery. Lots of historical signs around the to show the history of the place. Take a step back in time and visit this truly wonderful untouched unspoilt bakery restaurant cafe taverna shops, visit for yourself and you will not be disappointed. If you want a unique and beautiful to visit, this is it! And the local restaurant is amazing!!! Beautiful quaint with cobblestone paths, great to walk around and take in the sights. The locals are friendly and helpful. What a lovely day out! If you really want to get a real taste of Cypriot villages then this is a MUST. With its pave-stoned streets and narrow alleyways it's a pleasure to explore. Lovely restored stone-built buildings. Make sure that you visit the olive-press museum, the beautiful primary school overlooking the entire and the microbrewery where you get to sample some unique beers!!! Beautiful village, we had a morning food stop and we're treated to a huge slice of apple pie and a good cup of Nescafé coffee, the appeared to be deserted as all the residents were away at work. We walked through this very historic which has an eye to the contemporary. There is a superb water fountain erected in 1953, in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth 2 coronation Lofou is a charming little that feels like stepping back in time. With its beautifully preserved stone buildings, narrow winding streets, and breathtaking views, it’s a place full of character and history. The aroma of freshly baked goods from the local bakery fills the air, and the coffee here is simply exceptional. The Cypriot cuisine served in the taverns is an absolute delight. If you’re visiting Cyprus, Lofou is a must-see – a peaceful escape with an authentic atmosphere that you simply can’t miss! Very nice in the mountains with a beautiful view. The streets are lovely for a walk with a few shops and coffee shops. Better to park at the entrance because not many places inside. Be careful of the narrow and steep road to reach Lofou. Visiting Lofou felt like stepping back in time. The stone-paved alleys, houses, and peaceful atmosphere showed me the authentic charm of Cyprus. I enjoyed local hospitality, delicious food, and the quiet beauty of the surrounding hills. A truly serene and unforgettable experience.
