We stumbled upon this place when visiting the UNESCO church near by and are so glad we tried it out. The moussaka was great, the ribs were melt in your mouth perfection, the baklava was incredible (I don't even like baklava), and the boiled halloumi was the best I've ever had in my life!!! I will absolutely return the next time we're in Cyprus. Quite possibly the best food we had all trip! Food is quite ok. Meze was not not bad, but not enough meat and not big variety of dishes. It's important to note for those who have visited before, the price of the meat mezze has increased to 25 euros. The owner's warm and friendly demeanor greatly enhanced our experience, culminating in a complimentary Baklava that brought our evening to a delightful close. I recently visited Tavern Symposio and found the atmosphere to be warm and inviting, especially with the central fireplace creating a cozy ambiance. The food was prepared exceptionally well, showcasing great attention to detail. However, there was a small issue with the service: one meal was served without the side salad that was included on the menu. That said, the manager handled the situation promptly and resolved it to our satisfaction. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and I would recommend it to others. Awesome place! Nicos is a warm and friendly host and make you feel at home. Your best lunch in Cyprus!! We recently had the privilege to dine at Symposio for lunch. It has been our best meal yet in Cyprus! The (owner) was fabulous! And the meal will never be forgotten. Everything is fresh from their garden and you can tell. I would say this is MUST try! We hope to have the chance to return in future travels back to Cyprus. BTW we had the egg veggie dish (still dreaming about it), slow cook lamb, & marinated chicken. I was able to get fresh food and drinks, they provided really good customer service, it's a really good restaurant with a beautiful environment where you can go with the whole family.
