Absolutely brilliant night with Northern Soul UK. First here to see a Eagles tribute & we were pleasantly surprised. The building looks relatively modern from the outside. The interior is and well kept. The were and friendly. venue Really enjoyed the gig leisure centre with lots of different activities. I started a beginners swimming lessons course and I was a bit apprehensive at first,but once I met Molly our instructor I was put at ease and enjoyed the first lesson,with positive results Been here for a few comicons and wrestling events and its always spotlessly clean, well kept and has a couple of bars as well! A pool, a decent gym and plenty of shows on in the auditorium. First visiting here for the Cinderella Panto , which we all thoroughly enjoyed , we will definitely come here again in the future . We only get their membership for gym and other activities. It was kinda bummer for us that they don't have badminton court. Haven't tried anything else except the gym and pool, so I can't give reviews about other things. The gym is kinda nice and clean. The girl who gave me the induction was so and nice. Motown tribute act absolutely fantastic& going to book for 14/11/26 when they come again. Like watching the iriginal acts. Danced & sang all night. Place was spotless & very courteous. Recommend people to go there parking was only £1 to ensure car was safe until our return . There is no way to pay for a swimming session! Feels like the website is designed to drive you to become a member. With all the technology we have and ability to pay instantly why are all our systems so complicated?!? It surely would be the easiest system, a simple booking system. Pool water was very murky and at £6.90 for a session I would expect the pool to have proper lane ropes and not just lengths of rope with the odd few plastic floats on them. Change rooms were large and clean. Amazing, been here many times and love it! Slide is really fun and there's even a timer with a best on it! A very unpleasant and unwelcome welcome to the gym. Turned up to sign up and met with a hostile receptionist who was unwilling to support or accommodate an induction to the gym or even ask if it was possible. It was understood there was someone on site to support but they could not see me to complete an induction as I had not pre booked. This is disgraceful. For someone who has not been to the gym for a while due to body issues and weight gain who is looking to make a change and start taking health seriously this was a serious knock to confidence. It had left me ready to go, up dressed and ready to start a journey. To now frustrated, upset and disappointed. I understand and agree that inductions need to be completed, and would have understood if there was a delay to this. However to turn someone away when they are already nervous about going and to make what should be a calm and stress free zone into feeling attacked and left disappointed is awful. I have now booked onto an induction and hope that I can make this, due to my busy work schedule I can not always predict my timetable which is why I chose the gym over classes. This had now become a chore rather then what was hoping to be an enjoyable experience. Awful customer service. Hopefully this improves but a horrendous start. Amazing Repairs and breakdowns need to be of more urgency, posting on web about facilities not in use to customers.
