Gheorgheni, Romania Lake

One of the Best Places To Visits in Gheorgheni Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Very crowded both at the area and the gorge. Would highly recommend a walk around the lake. Parking is a bit of a challenge if you want free....get there early or late afternoon. There is paid Parking. I wish people would carry their trash out instead of throwing it into the lake. 😡 Amazing landscapes. The hiking route around the presents plenty opportunities to take nice pictures and just enjoy the nature. No entrance fee . Bought a magnet for 5 lei and best langos for 20 lei . Cool place to visit . A very old and lake. Here you can stay and just admire the nature. Everything about this place is so beautiful. There are enough restaurants nearby the where you can buy food and drinks ( the prices are a bit higher). Here you can also hire rowing boats or a horse carriage and explore the area more. Here you can also find a NoMAD library- a mobile library. I personally think the idea is fantastic and I wish I could see more mobile libraries. The car park costs 10 lei per day and to use the  public toilets will cost you 3 lei per person. Divine , and breathtaking landscape ....with snow in April. Natural beauty of a surrounded by the mountains. Parking can be a challenge depending on when you arrive. Not many place to sit to look at the lake. But overall, it is and the is supposedly disappearing so enjoy it while you can! We went there on a Sunday and there was a huge traffic jam at that time. We waited in the car for about an hour before we could stop at the lake. It was very frustrating and our mood was not the best when we got there, so we could not really enjoy the view. There were so many people that it was not really a nature experience at all. Maybe it's better during weekdays, but it was a disappointment for us at the weekend. Amazing nature! Nice road to walk and run. Also place to view the lake. Red Lake is a natural dam lake in Harghita County, Romania. It is located in the Hășmaș Mountains, on the upper course of the Bicaz River, and lies at the foot of the Hășmașul Mare Peak [ro], near the Bicaz Gorge, at a distance of 26 km (16 mi) from Gheorgheni and 30 km (19 mi) from Bicaz. The formed following the collapse of a slope due to the earthquake of January 23, 1838 at 18:45, measuring 6.9 magnitude on the Richter scale, VIII intensity. The landslide blocked the course of the Bicaz River and the formed behind this dam. The Red is located between Suhardul Mic and Suhardul Mare peaks on the north side, the Podu Calului Mountains to the south-west, the Licaș and Chișhovoș Mountains to the north-west, the Făgetul Ciucului peak to the north-east, and Muntele Ucigaș (The Killer Mount) to the east. My personal opinion: We are going here every season and we have the same good every time, the path is easy and accessible for everyone. Even sitting next to the and enjoying the view makes the trip worth the time. The drive is wonderful up through the mountain pass narrow in places. Everything is and the path is kept clean. The location provides a well marked (red cross on white background) circular walk around the which takes an hour or so. There is parking available although we were staying at Hotel Lacu Rosu, so this wasn’t needed. The location is an excellent stopping off between Gura Humorului and Brasov. There are lots of stalls selling the usual tourist stuff and nearby toilets so even if not staying overnight it is a useful stopping off point. It was very quiet, almost deserted during our mid October visit but can imagine it gets very busy in mid-summer. Please do not litter. Thank you. An extraordinary place, not only because of the itself, but also the fairytale trail to it. We were greeted by some cute ducklings at the lake, so be prepared with bread and memory on your phone.(for pictures:) ) Nice place for relaxation and enjoying a boat ride. On the edge of Red Lake, you can find a couple of restaurants serving Romanian traditional food and drinks and plenty of shops from where you can buy locally built traditional objects. piece of nature! Perfect for a weekend trip with family or friends. Restaurant and souvenir shops nearby. Also Bicaz Gorges is a 5mins car ride. The itself is not really interesting, it's dirty and always full of tourists but the one thing I liked is the view of the fabulous forest and mountains that surround the lake, probably worth visiting if you have spare time. Awsome feelings there !! Need to be on your free visit list ! We walked around the lake, and the whole circular route was littered. It was pretty disgusting. We paid 15 Lei for parking, so I don't understand why there aren't park rangers clearing this mess up and maintaining the area for wildlife. I even saw a soiled nappy at one point. Very disappointing because the surrounding area is beautiful, but it's just another place ruined by lazy, uneducated people. Like this place Its amazing, I visited it 3 times Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
