The is clean but you have get through a ghetto to get to it. A hidden gem of a even on a gloomy January morning. Well worth a trip. Amazing beach, I hope this wonderous place never gets over crowded! Ckean and tidy, nice but no tea room or anything to do What an excellent beach. Out of the way and quiet, it was while we were there, apart from a few dog walkers and hikers along the coastal path. A gem of a beach. We had our dog with us, who also loved the and playing with other dogs. A definite visit if you want a secluded beach. You have to a few hundred yards away in a free carpark, be quick to get a space. We were staying in a cottage minutes away so was did not need a car. It's a nice to the beach, seeing the boat monument on the way, and the jetty. Unless you know, you wouldn't realise that there was the there, a real find. Next time it'll be a hike along the coast. A gem of a find, The is through the village of Skinningrove, there is a car park. Excellent for fossil hunting. right towards the Jetty and you will come across a sandy Love love love this place. dog walking. fossil digging. Really and peaceful beach. It's so beautiful here. There isn't a cafe or toilets on the itself, but there are public loos a short stroll away. The local fish and chip shop sells drinks and bucket and spade/crab nets, too Excellent beach, quite large especially when tide is out. Dog friendly. Sits on the coastal Cleveland way walk. No food or drink facilities so make sure you have water if walking! Recommended I wandered down here from the north, along the gorgeous Cleveland Way trail. The is beautiful from up above, and on it. I caught it on a summers day. Yellow sand, blue skies, blue sea, and only a few people. I spent a little time on the cliffs, amongst the flowers and the plants, then descended down to soft sand and gentle tides. I was surprised it wasn't busier, because it's definitely somewhere I'd expect to be more popular For the photographers, it is definitely worth a visit along the Cleveland way, just for the up above and on the views For those with access issues, the Cleveland Way access is uneven steps. What a place. Takes some finding, but once you do. It'll be well worth it. The chip shop is also very good. A real gem of a place. Not commercial at all and gives a wonderfully chilled day at the beach. Pack a picnic and enjoy the day Just a really nice, unspoilt beach. Go right to the end to see fossil shells in the rocks Be warned: there aren't really any facilities to speak of. If you like walks and views, this is the place for you. This is a hidden gem of a beach, feasibly one of the best beaches I’ve been too in Yorkshire. Scarborough, Bridlington, Robin Hoods Bay etc are all very good but nothing compared to Skinningrove. The is beautiful soft white sand, incredibly clean, and well sheltered. The water is crystal clear and shallow for a long way out so for paddling. There are some toilets a short but otherwise unspoilt with no arcades or attractions or noise. I almost didn’t want to leave a review in case more people start visiting it, but trust me, this is a and you need to spend a day here soaking up the sun, sea, and sky. Enjoy! Had a stay in Skinningrove in Sept 2025 - great, location excellent for exploring the area. Although not British born, was really proud to see a British steel factory on the escarpment still in operation. The steel from Skinningrove was used in the construction of the Sydney harbour bridge in Australia - something to be truly proud of... only minor niggle is that there weren't more places open in the village - otherwise excellent. Nice with views. Car gets full quick, get there early! A that's dog friendly all year round. beach. Very dog friendly. Stunning and peaceful, with a cracking chippy. Good dog beach. There is a sewage outlet there which doesnt give confidence in water quality. Car gets very busy during nice weekends and there is little option to elsewhere. Same as most places.. when its quiet! beautiful A beautiful to visit.if the weather is nice.public toilets open 9 -5. with free parking. Fantastic to take the dogs. for kids to explore with rock pools etc. Gorgeous Long perfect for dog walks What a wonderful place skinningrove is. The beaches are for along. Many dog walkers here, the love it. The locals are so friendly and if you spend time chatting with them you get some stories of local history. 🏖️ Skinningrove is such a lovely, family-friendly spot! There’s so much to do—kids will have a blast exploring the rock pools 🐟 and discovering little creatures along the shore. The cliffs provide incredible 🌊, perfect for photos or just soaking in the scenery. Watching the tides come and go is really interesting 🌅, and there’s plenty of space to relax, play, or enjoy a picnic. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful day by the sea or a fun adventure with the family 👨👩👧👦, this has something for everyone. Highly recommend visiting! Absolutely spot for the dogs, exploring the rock pools when the tide's out, or spotting starfish. sand to lounge on when it's sunny, and amazing when it's a bit grey and foggy. Free car park, and not overly busy. It's a Come every year to lay flowers as my Mum ,Nan and Grandad are scattered there. Beautiful place , quiet, peaceful and Almost dont want to give this 5 stars as it really needs to stay as a hidden gem. One of the best beaches ive been to in thr UK. Be aware no showers or toilet facilities though. and for Happened across this little town by accident and it turned out to be a very interesting and stop. Wish I'd had a picnic with me! Dramatic cliffs off to the right, the tide was high when I was there, but it looked like a potentially good fossiling spot. Climbing up a lot of steep steps to the top of the cliff joins into the Cleveland Way and gives a wonderful view of the old pier and a clean, calm, and secluded beach. (Dog friendly, no lifeguards.) The town has an interesting history with iron mining and a steelworks factory dating back to 1880(ish). There is a museum about it but I didn't visit. on a beautiful rustic beach, really friendly place to visit, was on my own so choose carefully where I go and it was lovely, will tackle the terrain next time. Wonderful wild flowers covering the steep hills. Plenty of parking when I arrived. Considering it was a cold, overcast windy day it was still an enjoyable along the Good 4 Quite with stunning view Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
