Beautiful place to spend the day with stunning Beautiful walks different route options with lots of lovely view points. Prepare for it to be muddy after rain. Free parking. Bird feeding stations in carpark that appear to have been taken over by the squirrels who put on a good show jumping mad running between the tables to take the food put down. Beautiful through the woods and across Teesside. Easy routes to navigate with a wide range of to choose from. And of course free parking! Superb area Really nice woodland area with some great for walking. Unfortunately the only down side was that a lot of dog owners don't pick up their dogs sh¡t!!! A very beautiful place. Perfect to park up, to Saltburn, eat fish n chips, then back. The perfect day out. The kids/grandkids too.. enjoy a brisk walk! First time here with a mountain bike, I mainly used the main as a lot of the trails are covered in leaves which I think is dangerous if you don't know the trails. I will go back at some time. Plenty of free car and free to use. No cafe. Awesome. Has had a few things done since last went has had steps and cycle tracks improved which Is great for families. Love going for walks etc herr Great place for a the people you see are really friendly and always say hello. Some really nice views. Good vibes. Lovely woods for a with the family. Free parking, picnic area, play park and lots to see on a walk. Also lots of single track and play areas for mountain bikes. Fab walk, gorgeous scenery, ample free parking, dog friendly routes. Stunning woodland. Love doing the circular through upleatham. About 7 odd miles but stunning views! Lots of birds. Lovely location for a dog walk, or any kind of for those able to manage uneven ground/inclines. Plenty of benches along the way. Lots of kids on bikes and a few horses in there too. We spent 2 hours here, lovely over the local area, and a nice little playpark for the kids. Plenty of car spaces and lots of picnic benches so you could easily spend the day here exploring! Amazing as always. I recorded my friend on his mountain bike with my new drone. I love these woods! This is a great place for walking as you can extend or minimise depending on capabilities. If it's just a family the are wide but do get muddy but in the past when kids were younger have managed with a larger wheeled pushchair. It's used a lot for dog walks and unfortunately there is an element of unresponsible dog owners who do not clean up even though there are bins. The downside to this place is the local mountain bikers are building their own trail section. Not a big issue used to bike there myself when I was younger but unfortunately they are digging which is eroding the area around causing water run off to foot which are getting really muddy as the bikes also use footpaths, Country code seems to be a loss. The down trails they are making also cross footpaths so people with dogs or young ones beware been subject to numerous close calls as the bikes come straight across the paths. Free to park and explore a lot of mining history as well as beautiful nature Great place for a and explore, mind on the main footpaths though a lot of horse poop about. Very muddy in some places, definitely wear your wellies. Beautiful views. Certain water areas, the water looks contaminated!
