The pier towers are all that remained of the peer that opened in 1877. The pier was damaged by ships crashing into it, cutting it in half in a storm. It had been hit several times and was closed by 1893. The whole peer was demolished in 1903. The towers are very attractive, and there are steps between them down to the beach. I really like the seafront area of Withernsea, it has a promenade to stroll, a fresh coastal wind & the sun rises over the sea. The pier castle area is picturesque, kept very clean & altogether very interesting. This is a little jewel in the area. It's very clean and a little cafe across the road. Pleasant beach, though there are plenty of steps from the promenade to the beach. I'm not sure about lifeguards, but I would imagine they're there in peak season. Plenty of seafront parking but would imagine fills up quickly on days. Would certainly visit this location again Ganz okay Really pleasant... My daughter is a wheelchair user, so the prom all the wsy along the seafront is ideal... However there are only step steps down to the beach... She can manage with help to fey to the bottom... Approx 25 steps down. Not sure what the point of these is but they look good and seemed a very place with 1 hours free parking along the seafront. Good sea view point Such a beautiful place, looks very well, easy to access and spend some good time. The most characteristic point on the Promenade and Entrance to the beautiful Excellent place to unwind. Could be more friendly to the disabled but I think it does the best it can with what's avaliable. Lovely golden sand, and crazy cold water Amazing trip to Withernsea! Absolutely loved it, so relaxing. Lovely little cafe hidden down a side street, 'The Rosy Leaf'. Catered for my gluten intolerance, and the cake was delicious! Took so many photos, would highly recommend! They have everything you need, all in one area. Great day spent there 😊 An everyday tourist attraction that many will pass by our even photograph, when visiting Withernsea. It has plenty of history behind it, that's available on the NET. It changes through the seasons and you must visit it when the sea it rough and it's blowing a good North Easterly gale. Came here to see the first sunrise of 2023 and wasn't disappointed! The pier buildings were well-maintained and looked after. The was and clean, so it was great to have a calm morning walk. It is perfect as a getaway place from a busy lifestyle. There was also a Puffin walk if one is interested in the history of this town! Lovely little place, it was a very cold day, so the little cafe opposite the castle was very handy Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
