We stayed a night after picking up a camper van. (Hence no stars for rooms - it's not applicable). The facilities are great - spacious shower cubicles and nice hot water! The has good space between pitches and they have a black chicken who guards reception and 3 turkeys who are free ranging across the site. There are moorhens around the pond and the is in a country location. The warden was really helpful. He lent us a kettle as we had no gas and was great, with advice and offers of help. A BIG thank you to him. Also we chatted with another staff member who was really nice and very friendly. Take aways can be delivered (we needed one as we had no gas!) - we had Indian but I believe there was also Chinese and Kebabs available. We enjoyed our meal & ate in the bar where there is TV. Shame we were only there for the night We booked a four night stay at Spring Valley in August 2024. We arrived on a Thursday and had to find our own pitch, nobody in reception. The facilies aren't too bad, however that evening numerous other caravans turned up with children, who I must say were well behaved, but given that this is advertised as an Adults only venue then that's exactly what you should expect, it's also what you are paying for. I'm sure their advertising contravenes the trade descriptions act. On the Friday further families turned up and pitched on the camping field. Then on Saturday morning a bouncy castle was erected in the camping field at 8 o'clock in the morning. If you value peace and quiet then this place may not be for you. I hope this honest review helps others make informed decisions when choosing adults only caravan and motorhome venues. What an amazing and awesome caravan absolutely stunning very generous pitches lovely and clean facilities brilliant owners who could ask for more we had a camper place. it is not a quiet campsite, there is a busy road along it where cars drive far too fast. The website says ADULTS ONLY. But there were still a lot of children!! And it was busy until late at night with all kinds of guests who came for parties that were held there. Furthermore, we found the shower/toilet areas not really clean. After 4 days, one toilet still contained a feeding bottle with a baby's milk. After 4 days there was still a mop bucket with dirty water, which had not been emptied once, and you then have to mop the shower floor with it, not really fresh. You could throw away the waste separately, but no one observed this, it was a big mess, everything was mixed up. no control at all We are so excited having just picked up our new motor home today. Couldn’t have picked a better place to have our first night.It has everything you need and more. A great place for weddings, parties and other events. Alan and Debbie are both welcoming and friendly. We feel like we have come to visit friends having just met them. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts Thank you both so much- we will be back! Just spent a lovely and relaxing weekend at Spring Valley with my wife, adult daughter and doggies, staying in the Stables cottage conversion. We found the Stables comfortable, homely and clean and very much intend to stay there again over the coming months. The was small and compact but peaceful and scenic. Just the kind of thing place we like. We loved the fact that there were lots of birds, geese, turkey and ducks wandering about the and swimming on the fishing pond, and even had a nest of baby swifts just near the entrance to the door. The parents were very patient with us being there and were fun to watch while discretely sitting in the car. We had a concrete patio which, with careful parking of the car and the use of the outside tables and chairs, we managed to create a safe area where we could sit outside with the dogs and enjoy a glass of wine (or two). The staff were very friendly and informative and everyone we met while we were seemed very nice. Highly recommended. Brilliant Went With Touring Caravan.
