Mirador del Charco de Los Clicos

El Golfo, Spain Scenic spot

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Nice viewpoint, well laid out. Not sure it’s worth all the tourists piling off the coaches and clambering for photos of an algae lake, but worth a look. I actually preferred the walk down to the beach area. The Mirador del Charco de los Clicos is a viewpoint overlooking the stunning Charco de los Clicos, also known as the Green Lagoon, located near the village of El Golfo on the west coast of Lanzarote. This spot offers breathtaking views of the lagoon, surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes, making it a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers. What to Expect: 1. Panoramic Views: • From the mirador, you can enjoy an elevated view of the vivid green lagoon set against the backdrop of black volcanic sand, rugged cliffs, and the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. 2. Walking Path: • A well-maintained walking path leads to the mirador, making it easily accessible. The route is relatively short and suitable for all ages. 3. Volcanic Geology: • The surrounding area showcases Lanzarote’s volcanic origins, with layers of lava rock and dramatic formations shaped by centuries of eruptions. 4. Photographic Opportunity: • The contrast of colors and textures makes this spot a photographer’s dream. Visiting during golden hour (sunrise or sunset) adds an extra layer of beauty to the scene. Tips for Visitors: • Getting There: • The mirador is located on the edge of the village of El Golfo. It’s well-signposted and easy to reach by car, with parking available nearby. • Combine with Nearby Attractions: • After enjoying the view, you can explore El Golfo village, dine at its seafood restaurants, or visit other nearby volcanic attractions like **Los Hervider Nice panoramic view. Green lake, crashing waves. Short walk with people shuffling back and forth along the path like ants. A few different spots to enjoy the landscape details from a number of angles. Visited as a stop on a bus tour. Parking seemed otherwise limited. Awesome location, shame you can't get down to the without walking all the way around.. However I know it would be a bad idea with people littering. A well-equipped and easily accessible viewpoint with spectacular views. Colourful volcanic rocks, green lake, black beach and a fabulous sunset! 🤩😎🙏 The views are absolutely stunning! You can’t access the directly, but you can walk down to a nearby beach area. Although the contains ocean water, it appears green because of the algae Short twisty walk up to viewing platform, great contrast of the green (algae) and blue sea. Used by many a film crew for sci-fi type films since the 1960s. Amazing views, short easy walk to view Green lagoon, blue ocean, red rocks. You can get coffee, tea and other drinks in the bar, some snacks as well. Walk to El Golfo village where you can eat in restaurant. Free lot of parking space. Definitely must visit place when in Lanzarote pretty cool you can see for free, not far from parking lot. a lot of parking here, so doesn't have to be afraid about it. It was fabulous but a bit crowded, today was a really windy weather.
