The beaches around Ahlbeck and also on the Polish side are generally very nice, but there is one key difference. As soon as you cross over to the Polish side, everything feels a bit wilder. The beaches aren't as clean, there are more people, more dogs, and noticeably more noise. That’s why I would definitely recommend staying on the German side — it's simply perfect.
