Impossible to access via barrier. Site has 4 empty pitches but kiosk at entry stares 0 pitches available. Nice quiet aire, close to centre of town and Lidl’s! Electric, water and waste facilities. Barrier machine had a bit of a moment but after a phone call, friendly staff and technicians were on hand and able to fix the issue. We had a lovely stay. Arrived at 0115 desperate to get some sleep! Easy entry at barrier. 4 spaces available. Very quiet, apart from us at stupid o'clock!! A very popular Aire. It was full when we arrived (apart from one place reserved by a chair). There were 4 vans parked outside. While we pondered what to do we noticed one van starting to leave so once they were out we were able to get in. We were very lucky. In the morning 2 vans queuing waiting for people to leave . Only $3.30 but services cost extra. Nice place, quiet, by the canal. Not too far to town centre. Only takes 10 vans but plenty of space for more - don't know what they haven't used the space more effectively. Arrived mid afternoon to find aire full. Waited outside with two other vans but no one left. No one moving following day! Think it would be fairer to limit stays to 48 hrs or increase price. Nb. Watch where you put your feet! Dogs defacate freely and all adjacent canal. Great place to stop!
