Me and two of my friends tried to visit here as we love music and the security didn't let us in as my friend's dress is a bit casual (wore a denim jacket on jeans). Never experienced in any other cafe being judgemental on what is worn. It's really a pity. The best pub in town. The staff are incredible, nice and friendly. I love this place. Nice live music place. The decorations and atmosphere is kind of bar style. Good alternative The guy, running around picking up empty glasses, deserves a raise. Awesome venue with live concerts every Friday for free. I definitely recommend it! **TOURIST TRAP & SCAM** Upon visiting here, the whole place seemed very unwelcoming. I went outside the front for a vape and the security came out telling me my friend needs me to pay the bill. I questioned this and was not able to find him, only to find out he was kicked out and I was told he left. It was only when my friend outside shouted over at me i knew they were trying to make it look like my friend dktched me when really he was kicked out. They tried charging us an extortionate price and when we said we dont want the drink, they said it was already made when we can see it was not. They then tried pressuring me and using intimidating tatics because we were tourists. This was a scam and also targeting tourists. If anyone feels like they are being pressured, call 101 as when we mentioned this they then changed their minds and stopped obstructing us to leave 10 stars for the DJ but -8 stars because they have 5 fans that are not working and it is so warm inside it is painful to dance. They have AC running but I can't say that I feel it. Amazing dive bar. Great energy. Loved the music and vibes. Staff was very kind and helpful. **SCAM ALERT** If you feel targeted call 101 Be aware that prices are dramatically increase when you are believed to be intoxicated enough or susceptable to being scammed. If refuse to accept the new price they will try to intimate and use security to get payment. This despite no drinks even being made (refused at the till). (I assume being a tourist has a element to play as well). Ensure if you leave, they don't then try to continue to scam your group and use you as leverage (your friend needs you to pay) It's not the nicest place in terms of venue either, but depending on what music you like, this may suit some. To be honest, I had high hopes for this place, especially on Friday night. The atmosphere was okay, but we've seen one of the worst live performances ever. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting much in that sense, but come on. Instrumental was ok, vocal abysmal. I went for a drink by myself and I found this place with a magic band. I would have given at least 4 stars, BUT me and my friend went there (February 2 2025) and the security didn't let us in because he said we were drunk, which was a lie because we arrived there from home and literally didn't have any drink at all!!! And then he said that it's only from 28+ which doesn't exist it was just a lie and one of the staff members came out and was also really rude towards us!!! And again me and my friends used to go there every Saturday and never had a problem until the new security guard was there. I would recommend people to be ready that they won't let you in for no reason. Was lucky enough to catch the local jam and it was great! Musicians from all over the world showed up to play here and it was a great experience. The beer was reasonably priced and the service was quick. They could speak English as well!
