Fantastic little zoo, well looked after and cared for. Not a big fan of zoos but this one is done well and staff seem good at the job. Great place to take the kids. Restaurant is great and friendly, food was excellent. It is rather small BUT we saw here that we did not see anywhere else. Not at Bali Zoo, not in northern Italy, not anywhere else. Really recommend 🩷 🐾 Zoo Delle Maitine in Pesco Sannita is a nice zoo for families, especially for people living nearby in Benevento or the surrounding area. 👨‍👩‍👧 It’s a good place to bring children for a day trip and also works as a picnic spot 🌳. The animal collection is average 🦒🐒🦓, so it may not be worth traveling a long distance just for this zoo. 🎟️ The ticket price (€13) feels a little higher than the value offered. There is a bar available for snacks and drinks 🍔🥤, but the washrooms could be cleaner 🚻. Overall, a decent local zoo with some nice areas for kids to enjoy. This is a small zoo and well maintained. If they would improve the food choices and available I would give 5 stars Bathrooms are clean and also in good condition . I give only 2 points because: - couldn’t eat at the restaurant at the zoo as apparently no tables were available as Apparently you must book a table minimum a week in advance . - bar has limited choices and must say the sandwiches for the prices asked are poor. A sandwich with one slice of cooked ham and a piece of salad 5 euro - when I asked for the kids if they have other food, warm one, then I was told no. But an hour later I saw people with plastic plates and simple pasta dishes. Seems some parents complaint and made some pressure and the restaurant agreed to provide some pasta… for a zoo in the middle of nowhere they shall provide at least some options to eat warm … - ice cream - more than a half of the ones shown on the board were not available Fantastic place for everyone, kids adults everyone, beautiful restaurant too!!
