Sculpture Turkish War of Independence memorial from 1927, with bronze figures including Atatürk on a horse. Mosque Landmark mosque that was built during the Ottoman era & is still in use today. Castle Ancient castle built on a rocky hilltop, offering panoramic views of the city in all directions. Museum Converted prison, now an arts & culture center as well as a history museum offering tours of cells. Archaeological museum Museum of artifacts from the Paleolithic era to the classical period, some displayed in a courtyard.
