Jahrhunderts im neoromanischen Stil errichtet. Mich erinnert die St. Antonius Basilika an den wesentlich älteren Paderborner Dom oder den Mariendom von Hildesheim, beides sehr prächtige Gebäude. Innen hat mich die z. T. maurisch anmutenden Gestaltung von Säulen und Rundbögen fasziniert. Gut gefallen hat mir auch die Krypta und die Taufkapelle, auch das Lichtspiel durch die bunt verglasten Fenster ist mir in bleibender Erinnerung. Ganz außergewöhnlich war das zufällige Treffen mit dem Küster der Basilika, der uns sehr freundlich und bereitwillig die Geheimnisse der Basilika offenbart hat.
