Great place, restored to how it would have looked, but now with a small ( but good) attached. Great place to stop after a walk/cycle ride along the wirral way. A little bit of history. Harlow Road has been restored as it was when the last train went through in 1952. The restoration was completed by the local villagers and this story is available in the ticket office. There is a which serves teas and light snacks. The staff were lovely and friendly. Contactless payment in the cafe. The is set in time which is what its supposed to be. Fantastic. When we walk down the Wirral way we often call at Hadlow Road when we have our lunch stop. They have their own society who maintains the and it's very well looked after. Had a look at the TV monitor in the ticket office to see some of the work they have carried out. I always have a look at the stuffed black and white cat asleep behind the counter in the ticket office. It looks very realistic. There are plenty of benches to sit and have lunch and wait for a train to pass through, but one never does.. They now have a residing in the station, I've not tried it out yet but will do in the near future. coffee .nice carrot 🥕 cake .nice staff .nice rest after a 30 mile bike ride.what more can you ask for . Very quiet, lovely steeped in visible history Beautiful spot. Car park is often full of cars as its an excellent place to begin a walk from. Such a lovely spot on the wirral I frequently visit. Handy having a there too. Last time I visited the car park was so full people were parked outside of the road - however that was down to the works they had going on in there. Will visit again no doubt This is a lovely old railway that's been converted into a and coffee shop. There is also a small museum and they have regular pop up coffee and cakes and daytime entertainment. On our last visit, there were Morris Dancers performing on the platform across from the main 'booking office', the place was busy, but we did manage to get a seat inside to have some brunch. The itself is nice. Its a covered yard with plenty of small tables, beware though on sunny days it can get quite hot under there with little breeze and can feel like a greenhouse! Foodwise, there's plenty of good choice for both breakfast and lunch, and a good range of hot and cold drinks. Everything is well cooked and generous portions. A beautiful stop off along the Wirral way with a cafe.Always busy here with some parking. Great spot to pick up the Wirral way if like me your a cyclist. Always busy coffie shop based around the old buildings which are tastefully restored. Obvious comment but it's no longer a railway Lovely spot along the Wirral Way with an excellent serving some beautiful food. Even just to sit down and enjoy a cup of tea. You can also go in the old office which is like a mini museum to the with a video discussing the place's history. The car park is only small though, so if busy you may struggle to find a spot. Super cute with indoor and outdoor seating, and takeaway options. The place is well kept and the food is really good, with some fun, different options on the menu. Can't wait to cycle back. As as this place was unfortunately we left our child's nappy bag, an expensive branded bag due to there opening times and work commitments it has taken me around 6 weeks to get the chance and drive up to retrieve my babies nappy bag, upon my arrival staff members have told me they've binned my babies nappy bag along with all the items inside.
