Property Caillebotte

Great XIX century mansion and beautiful park A little gem in this Parisian suburb, the newly renovated country of impressionist painter Gustave Caillebotte. An immersion in a vibrant période for the arts and a certain art de vivre Interesting small museum in the old family where the painter lived many years. There is a big garden and a restaurant too. We often have the image of artists in the 17th/18th century as struggling with money and adictions. Caillebotte was the opposite and his deep and healthy family rooths gave him wings to travel and create. The is wonderfully decorated as it was supposed to be in his time, just perfect. The garden is worth exploring at any season. The is a little out of the "already walked paths" of Parisian visit circuits but absolutely worth seeing. Pricey the entrance fee. They should really have a special rate for elderly after all the itself and other exposition isn't that big a place and much to see. One of the staff at the permanent exposition was rude. Interesting museum, art gallery and park Beautiful place with the calming Park and the River Yerres running by to sooth your nerves 😍 We also kayaking on the river. The kayak renting opens at 3pm in the afternoon. Just loved it ❤️ Really enjoyed visiting the Caillebotte today. Don't come here expecting to see lots of his paintings (they are in museum collections and in private hands), but you'll get a great sense of what life was like in the 19th century for the French bourgeoisie. Highly recommend seeing the entirety of the film (screening room on the first floor), it was so informative. The grounds are spectacular. NB all wall panels, the film, etc are in French so if you don't speak the language it might be a tricky visit Well worth a visit .Beautiful painting s and décor. The furniture and fittings has been restored with taste and respects the styles of that era. Beautiful house, the gardens are gorgeous, I’m so happy!!! (PS: 5€ to visit the if you are an EU student, but the gardens are freely accessible to the public) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
