Old wooden houses to look into the interior of, a nice cafe, and some 50-100 Iron age mounds around the surrounding area. Special energy. Well worth a visit of you're intersted in viking history, or just ancient history in general! It's a good experience to see the old place 💟💟💟 A beautiful place filled with history. Loved it! You get to see old houses from the Viking times. There is a small cafe too which was open and very friendly when we were there on a summer Sunday. From here you can walk a round way (clearly marked by red poles) of approx 3,6 km / 1 hour (you can also go a shorter round). Most of it is on gravel road, the rest on gras or through the woods - no special shoes needed. Checking out the Viking artefacts was really cool. After exploring all the buildings, we took a 5km walk to see the Viking graves. The walk led us through a charming little island village, making it a nice and scenic adventure. It was a great mix of history and a pleasant stroll. A small, beautiful, and very atmospheric place. You can learn a bit about Viking history and the people who lived here. Don't expect an big family fun park. This is a small place where you can have a coffee and see how people used to live and 'die' in this area and these houses. Visits are free, and the ladies in the tiny coffee shop are very nice and open to conversation. Highly recommend visiting and see. Great place, gives you the Viking-era Feeling. Nice, interactive and digital exposition. I wish I had more time there. Check in advance what kind of activities and at what time are taking place. Interesting and beatiful nature walk amongst viking graves and other historical artifacts Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
