This was a recommendation from my sister in law for dinner. We could enter without typical club restrictions of scanning drivers licences as we weren’t playing pokies. Was a pretty busy restaurant area. Was told that dinners would take about 40min to get served, that was pretty accurate. Jugs of soft drinks were $9.50 each. The food was OK, the Hawaiian pizza was pretty decent. The veggies that arrived with the parmi were seriously terrible - over cooked and bland as heck. The parmi was OK though. An absolute experience at the Vikings. Watched the fundraiser today for TWS and then the heated match between the Vikings and the Eagles. It was great to see our staff play particularly Joe and Junior. And the after match experience downstairs was amazing with booze, music, and biddings. Had a few meals and and found it quite enjoyable. The steaks where cooked perfectly being tender and had good flavour. The Diane sauce was nice although the pepper sauce lacked flavour and was very much like a gravy. The meals come out quickly even though the club was busy. Wait staff and bar staff nice although the meals registrar attendant was a bit rude. Restaurant amenities very clean although pokie room amenities not as good, still ok but not to the same standard. All in all good club friendly service and a nice atmosphere. A spur of the moment decision to go to the club was a good one even though the restaurant was incredibly busy. They did advise us before ordering that the delay could be up to 45 minutes which we didn't mind as we chatted over a drink. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the wait was definitely worth it. Great coffee and cake. I haven't been there for years so a lot had changed....for the better. Oh my goodness Erindale! What a superb lunch I had off the new menu (stuffed garlic prawn chicken) perfect portion, amazing potatoes, sublime chicken, gently cooked broccalini, beautiful presentation and complimentary garlic bread because of delay (very busy, all good) Well done! I am super impressed! The best lamb cutlets ever. Great service and friendly staff Nice establishment, great happy hour with a great atmosphere while the ufc was on. My issue was the parmigiana, took over an hour to come out and was very stock standard for $29. I feel like the standard has dropped in the Vikings venues when it comes to food as I remember Lanyon and Tuggeranong Vikings once having the best schnitzels in Canberra. Wasn’t expecting the same as it is a different venue but it was quite disappointing.
