Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. It's located in Middlesbrough. Absolutely freezing in winter due to the type of building it is. It's hit or miss if when you climb it'll be busy. Staff and willing to help. I have done the improvement course ran be Leif and would recommend this. There's also a girls night on Tuesdays. Price is similar to other gyms but cheaper if you become a member and bring your own shoes. The routes get reset fairly regularly. There's food and drinks options available to buy. Sofas to relax Free lockers Everyone is generally very only occasionally you have a climber who is a bit rude There's an upstairs gym area you can also have access too with fingerboards monkeybars and other equipment Great gym. Couldn't ask for more from a bouldering perspective - variety of problems and setting. are always and supportive. Particularly noticeable is the support for younger climbers, there always seems to be a lot of support for kids and younger people - that said, as a beginner adult it's still a gym. It's not as fancy as some of the other bouldering gyms around, but I really like that that emphasis is on quality here. I've had some great support from a particular of and he's been fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. Always interested in what's going on, and incredibly supportive of my wife who's got a some related confidence issues. Safety is high on the priority list at Rock Antics (unlike some other gyms within an hour or two) and, while I imagine that irritates some people, I think that it's great. There's intrinsically an element of risk in climbing, and there's a real onus at RA to mitigating that as far as possible. I did a ropes course here a few months ago and that's given my wife and I the confidence to rope climb elsewhere - couldn't ask for more! Gym itself is great, offer lots of variety and most of the are nice. There is one member of though which just makes me and my mate just feel uncomfortable / not welcome. Sees us there every week and asks if we are members in just a real condescending tone. Guy needs to work on his people skills or not work in a customer facing / engaging job. Cheers Great gym with friendly, helpful staff. Just completed the improver course, which was really good. Instructors' experience and knowledge were apparent. Great place to visit for all age ranges and abilities. Amazing, community and variety of climbs. They use Griptonite which helps know what the grades are. They offer improver classes in a programme and a monthly payment system for regulars! Highly recommend 👌 Love Rock Antics. Both my kids now attend classes. The are amazingly friendly, helpful and very supportive. Lovely atmosphere and as a bonus the loo is always clean, tidy and smells great! 😂 local wall. Much improved route setting and staff. Not a luxury experience like some newer venues but that's not a criticism. Fantastic gym for all age groups and abilities. The are always pleasant and supportive. The support and encouragement they give to the younger climbers is exceptional. As safety is a major priority they swiftly address unsuitable behavior which can bring negative feedback. Keep up the work!! The routes are amazing and with weekly set changes, you keep us coming back for more. I am an older rock climber, with a lot of experience on the crags. The route grading on the main solo wall, seem under graded (harder) compared with trad. routes on the crags. The nice people and amazing climb are just so fun My kids have been going here for a couple of years and love the climbing. But due to the attitude of one of the they will not be going back. I'd rather drive further and spend my money elsewhere. The class was aways busy when we first started going, but have slowly dwindled, I can only guess this said person is a result of this.
