However the new parking charges are unacceptable, there's nothing there except the woods and the hour parking charge, which is just under £2 doesn't cover the time it takes to go around the yellow route. Coatham woods is a lovely with lots of hidden paths and spots for children to explore, but for us the huge let down was the shear volume of dog poo, it was horrendous, the dog owners whom fail to clean up should truly be ashamed, spoiled a lovely walking spot. We've found this gem of a dog through the woods .lots of different trails. You can let your dogs off to run ,but be mindful that you do occasionally pass other walkers . Such a diverse array of wildlife. Now it looks like tanks have rolled through leaving tracks and ripped up ground everywhere.
