There's a barrier on the lower parking, but driving is not prohibited even till the yard of the little restaurant. It seems, morning hours are much better for visiting, because of the Sun highlights the very wide expanse. A nice castle for a short pit stop. Not to much to see or do though. I was there with my girlfriend in 1984. We ate at the restaurant on top of the hill at the castle. The view was MAGNIFICENT!!! Fresh air, German history, lots of Old German culture, friendly people, gift shop, dungeon, restaurant and so much more. It was AWESOME!!! Come as you are, no tickets required....
