We climbed to the nearby World War II memorial, a huge eagle looking south, erected in honor of the 11th Alpine Brigade of the Swiss Army in 1944. There is a beautiful mountain hotel with restaurants nearby. It stands at almost 2,000 metres of altitud and commands great alpine views down the pass in each direction.
