One of two courses that can be played... Oaks and Lakes. Both very challenging layouts, Lakes being more challenging than Oaks. Great experience! Played the long lakes course. Driver can be used on almost every hole! Especially useful for players who like to "grip it and rip it." The greens were in great condition. Can't wait to play the other shorter course in the future. The two ladies that were behind the counter the first time I came to look at the course were so helpful and kind. Felt like I've been there for years! Really made my day! Driving range ,chipping green, and putting green are also on site. Well I think these courses (s) don’t have bright futures….Why; - while 30k or so from Lisbon they are in middle of nowhere. I can’t see how a retirement develop on site can possibly work. - when we visited there were maybe 10 cars in the car park - mid morning - for 36 holes. People are voting with their feet. - we played the lakes. It was in really poor condition - the fairways were heavily watered but the grass not cut - lies could be very lush or bare, where the sprinklers had not reached - maybe agree preferred lies at start. Playing soft didn’t help as the course played longer than the card. Wild boar damage is extensive on every hole - some very close to the green. It’s a very big property adjoining an old air force base - lots of woods. I don’t see how this problem is solved. Other reviews suggest a very good course but I don’t know how - the greens were 8/10 so maybe that is it. The clubhouse is a shed - very basic facilities. Be aware. We played both courses on a recent trip having played Riba I (Lakes) in the past and enjoyed it. Sorry to say this course was in pretty poor condition (combination of wild boar damage and what looked like general neglect) and the green fee of 55 Euros + 38 for a buggy was too much for a course in this kind of shape. Riba 2 (Oaks) was better but not as interesting a layout. The greens on both were fine. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food and staff were lovely, as was the lady at the course but I would honestly not be rushing back unless the price was significantly reduced. Played in January..2 golf courses of 18 holes...the course is in good condition...the greens are also good..driving range from the grass...although the restaurant is not on the territory and it takes 3 minutes to drive to it. Very friendly staff. Great staff, not good but not horrible design, and poor conditions. If cheap, I would recommend. If more than 30, then no Excellent 18 holes in middle of country and afterwards a great lunch for 4 players in their restaurant. 😊 Played the oaks course, had an amazing day.
