Walking the Palamidi was the highlight of my time in Nafplio (and a must do for any cat lover!) we walked it from the town to the and back on a sunny afternoon in March. We were greeted by no less than 50 cats (one-way) on this stroll. For a cat lover - this was heaven. Also, if you're looking for privacy, you can always follow a trail down a cliff to where you can swim and chill without people. Great place ro run/hike when in Nafplio, goes from Arvanites parking to Karathonas beach, with totals some 7km back and forth. If you add the that goes to the other side, to the promenade of the town, it adds more lenght and great views also. Gorgeous along the seaside in Nafplio. A must do if you are in the city for stunning views of the sea and mountains covered in cactus. If you keep walking you can access the beaches that run all the way down along the coast on the path. Highlight of the city.Totally worth visiting This is nice and level and offers an unobstructed view of the bay including shipping and beaches. The only downside is that there is trash everywhere along the trail. There was one lone trash can about 750m in from the parking area but it was filled to overflowing. More cans, and better upkeep would go a long way towards improving the trail. A away from the crowd, leading to a small pebble beach. The view on the bay is simply stunning.
