Really Bar and restaurant on Karathona Beach. Food and drinks are decent and prices are fair as well. Great location with really views. Used to be a bar with a lot of sunbeds, now just bar and restaurant. Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean toilets. Showers available on the side of the bar. Affordable prices. Well organised establishment located in the middle of Karathona Bay. There are a number of such establishments on the but this seems to be the nicest. As a consequence you need to arrive early to get the best sunbeds during the peak season. Toilets and showers are across the road behind the restaurant. The golden sand is huge, but again does fill up in peak season. August 2023 update: the above points are still true. We waited 20 minutes until they cleaned the table from previous customers and another 15 minutes until they took the order(only 1 -one- waiter was taking orders and making bills. Rest of them just delivered food and drinks. Food arrives in 20-25 mins from order and my burger was more boiled than grilled (frozen meat incorrect prepared), my wife's pizza was so ans so and only my daughter's nuggets were ok. I ordered 2 beers, 2nd one was not cold... pricea were decent. We just stayed tjere because it was the only place to eat for a range of 500m at lest. Too bad that they have a location and a beautiful building with good facilities. While staying in Tolo, we decided to take a short trip to Nafplio and stopped at Sambala Bar Restaurant for a relaxing day by the sea. The follows the classic Greek style: clean, well-kept, and very affordable. A pair of sunbeds with an umbrella costs around €15, which is perfectly reasonable. There’s also a minimum consumption policy, but the prices are fair and in line with the area. The itself is beautiful and comfortable, with calm, clear water and a atmosphere. Service is good, and the staff are polite and efficient. When it comes to food, it’s not necessarily the best place to have a full meal — there are definitely better dining options in Nafplio — but for drinks, snacks, and a light lunch, it works perfectly. Overall, if you’re in the area and looking for a convenient spot to relax for a few hours, Sambala is a good choice. Comfortable, affordable, and close enough to Nafplio to combine with a walk around the town. bar.Not easy to find sunbeds.Sunbeds are free of charge.Coffee good. The sea is amazing.Nice music.Good prices. Easy to get to. Simple drinks. Parking is not an issue. Plenty of space. It does get busy during tourist season, so finding chairs can be difficult. The atmosphere and location is the only decent thing about the restaurant. We waited about an hour for a simple margherita pizza which wasn’t even a pizza. Just some cheap cheese on dough, not a single hint of sauce! They serve drinks in a plastic cup yet they charge you 3€+ for a simple can of Pepsi. The quality of available products is low like coffee, omelette. The weekends you cannot find sun bed unless you book before you visit Nafplio. It is pity because it is a place but it needs many things to be corrected. Decent food, good location and comfortable sun beds. Hectic during the weekend though as all the locals are packing the from the early morning This bar looks like place with plenty of shade—perfect for spending a hot afternoon, minus the wait. Speaking of waits, we had a 45-minute exercise in patience before we could order. Our waiter was polite and friendly, though he seemed to believe that table crumbs and stains on the table add to the ambiance. The menu was interesting although several items we tried to order were not available. After another 45 minutes, the food arrived, and it was worth the wait - especially the Greek salad. The music... imagine your least favorite covers of popular songs, and then make them even more cringe. Despite the hiccups, it was overall a rather memorable experience It was a place, but it's all shut now, great shame! Very disappointed by the team. Nice place but……service was awful ! Food Quality is not here. Just pass away or just order beer for the beach. Bad service, Bad quality of the food. Very Bad coffee. The worstest greek salad we had here in Greece (no olive oil inside even if there are a lot of Olive trees). The only positive things are the music and the location. We will non return here.
